For the past 12 years, 50 Cent has been trying to unload his 52-room Connecticut estate. According to Monday’s issue of The Wall Street Journal, he has finally succeeded, and at a price reduction of 84%. Jennifer Leahy of Douglas Elliman mediated the sale of the home, which resulted in a price of $2.9M.

Rapper Curtis James Jackson III (actual name: Curtis James Jackson III) paid a then-record $4.1M to former boxer Mike Tyson in 2003 for the mansion located at 50 Poplar Hill Drive in Farmington. About eighty miles separate Farmington and the wealthy metropolis of Greenwich.

The Journal reported that the 50,000-square-foot estate had been on the market for $18.5M in 2015 but was now listed for $4.995M. The Douglas Elliman listing states that the mansion has 21 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, an indoor pool and hot tub, a nightclub, an indoor court, various game rooms, a green-screen room, and a recording studio.

Farmington is around 40 miles from New Haven and hosts the property in central Connecticut. A lion statue and an ornate gate welcome visitors to the property. The house is hidden among the foliage at the end of a winding driveway. In 2015, 50 Cent put his mansion on the market for $18.5M; the sale price represents a markdown of 84%. The 21-bedroom estate has a gleaming entryway with two stairs made of wood paneling.
