Stunned by the beauty of Big Sean’s $10M mansion in California, he transferred the mansion to his wife when she gave birth to his first child.
Big Sean has found a new residence two months after selling his $11 million property in the exclusive Mulholland Estates gated community in Los Angeles. The Grammy-nominated rapper, born Sean Anderson, paid $8.1 million for a slightly smaller but no less opulent French Normandy-style residence in a gated, affluent neighborhood of Encino.
Built in 2005, the property was renovated approximately four years ago; originally listed in May for $10 million, it was ultimately sold to Anderson at a discount of nearly $2 million. Located on nearly a quarter-acre of land in a gated community with 18 similarly sized estates, none of which are owned by celebrities, the house is ideal for hosting large gatherings.
The residence is clad in stone and vaguely resembles a European chateau. It features a masonry motor court and a three-car garage. Inside, a grand foyer leads to over 10,000 square feet of living space on three levels, including six bedrooms and nine toilets. Big Sean will pay $850 per month in HOA fees, in addition to property taxes, maintenance costs, and any mortgage payments, for all this grandeur.
On the main floor, a modern gourmet kitchen with not one but two enormous islands and Wolf and Viking appliances stands out. French doors lead from the adjacent breakfast alcove to an outdoor loggia with a built-in barbecue.
A formal living room features dome skylights and a library wall, while a casual family room has a wood-burning fireplace and retractable oversized glass doors that lead to a covered, wood-lined veranda with a fireplace. Also included is a formal dining room.
A winding staircase leads to the upper level, where a lavish master suite with a fireplace, private balcony, and walk-in wardrobe is located. A luxurious spa-like bathroom features dual vanities, a large glass-enclosed shower, and an alcove-tucked freestanding soaking tub. This floor also contains a retreat with a sauna and a massage room.
The basement features a fitness center with mirrored walls, a luxurious movie theater, a wine cellar with 1,000 bottles, and a game room with a wet bar. Additional amenities can be found in the backyard, where a pool house with air conditioning flanks a pool and Jacuzzi with a Baja shelf. A high-tech Crestron home automation system regulates lighting, climate, music, an alarm system, and other features.
