Drake Continues to Drop Snippets Targeting Kendrick Lamar
Drake has been stirring up the hip-hop world with a series of cryptic song snippets aimed at Kendrick Lamar. These snippets, shared on social media, have captured the attention of fans and fueled speculation about a simmering feud between the two rap superstars.
It all began in March when Drake dropped the surprise track “Chicago Freestyle.” In the song, Drake appeared to take a jab at Kendrick Lamar for his lack of musical output in recent years, rapping, “You been quiet for too long, my friend / Like a father without a home / I had to take that role on.”
These lyrics were widely interpreted as a reference to Kendrick Lamar, who hasn’t released a new album since 2017’s “DAMN.” Since then, Drake has continued to drop more snippets, believed to be responses to Kendrick’s perceived backhanded disses on his recently released album “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.”
In the song “Die Hard,” Kendrick Lamar seemingly alluded to Drake as a “fake” and an “imitator.” Drake is thought to have fired back at these criticisms in the snippet “Pusha Diss,” where he raps, “You tryna take me down? / But I’m too high up for you.”
The musical rivalry between Drake and Kendrick Lamar has been simmering for years, stemming from personal conflicts and competition within the music industry. These latest snippets have only heightened the tension between the two artists, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the next round of diss tracks.
