There’s a new Drake album coming this month – and that’s all we know. We don’t know dates, we just know it’s landing in April. We held our own ‘guess the Drake album release date’ sweepstake but after today (the 6th) all of our logical predictions will have gone out of the window. So, to feed your anticipation and to mark the imminent release of his fourth album – Views From The Six – we’ve charted six of Drake’s finest ‘fits.
Tonal triumph
Here we see the commonly spotted Drake in his natural habitat. No, not on stage, but watching his beloved Toronto Raptors play ball. While he’s known for his moody brand of hip-hop. It’s no wonder he was all smiles – he pulled together an MVP-worthy look based around a grey overhead jacket from London label Palace. He really made it work (work, work, work, work) elsewhere with some grey straight-cut jeans, simple white tee and some fresh-out-of-the-box Jordans.
A souvenir of summer sixteen
Anybody who is anybody has worn a this year. What that means, though, is that the quality pieces really do stand out and here’s Drizzy pulling off the silky sukajan with ease. Let’s take a look at his outfit, starting from the bottom. Always a fan of big Timbs, he donned a chunky brown pair and some staple black skinny jeans above. Giving his key piece all the attention, he threw on a simple white tee and, now we’re here, a standout black and gold souvenir.
Footy tee
With the Euros on the horizon, retro footy shirts will no doubt be popping up all over the place. While we search our attics for the coolest and most ridiculous designs, Drake is spoiling the fun, being all like, ‘I think I’ll just wear my really nice sold-out Nike x Patta one, instead’. But he has paired it up with some nice grey joggers and fresh Air Max, so we’ll let him off.
Top-to-toe trackies
In recent years, has played host to some very good and some very not good outfits from its A-list attendees. But there’s arguably none better than from last year’s event. Pairing a navy sweatshirt over matching joggers, Drizzy looked as if, at any point, he might whip off the sweats to reveal a tennis kit underneath. Thankfully he didn’t, and we got to revel in his comfy co-ords and blindingly white trainers a little longer.
Check points
Here he is again courtside, celebrating his team scoring and using the time to show off his brilliant outfit on the Jumbotron. As we’ve seen from fellow hip-hop style icons and A$AP, there’s nothing wrong with a bit of self-promo and Drake certainly had no shame, wearing an unbuttoned plaid shirt emblazoned with ‘October’ – a piece from his own OVO line. Around that, he kept things signature Drake – plain white tee, mid-wash, straight-cut jeans and.
Blush brilliance
Another slam dunk, another opportunity for Drake to jump out of his seat to show off a great outfit. If you had a view from the sixth row, you would have probably been able to witness Drizzy’s OVO varsity jacket in all its greatness. Although we didn’t have that luxury, we could still enjoy the jacket, which he layered over a bold, white hoodie. Down below, the rapper rocked his trademark mid-wash jeans and a pair of Jordans because, well, if you’re going to write a song devoted to Jumpman, you’re probably going to be a fan of his footwear range, too.
