A puppy about to give birth faced her greatest motherhood test, risking her own life to keep her unborn baby safe. Labor pains are by no means a simple matter, on the contrary, they seem to be nature’s great gateway to the gift of bringing a life into the world, but many do not arrive in the best conditions.

This is the story of a little dog who courageously achieved a better future for her little ones.

The volunteers of Hope for Paws based in Los Angeles (USA), received the announcement of a pregnant canine that had been abandoned in the desert, without any consideration for her condition.

Despite her pains, the brave furry dog had scoured the area for help and managed to take refuge in a nursery run by locals.

These kind-hearted people were moved by the dog’s condition and decided to help her.

The man who rescued her not only gave her protection, but also called the foundation to help the pup to be born and grow up without any problems. They needed to join forces to save them, after the great sacrifice and resistance shown by the mother.

The furry one was christened Luna, as she arrived at the nursery in the middle of the night.

The volunteers drove 3 hours to the site to help the mother and her six cubs. As soon as she felt them arrive, she ran to her rescuers, knowing they would help her through the night.

Luna was suffering from a severe infection in her eyes and entropion in one of them.

She needed to be checked by a specialist, as well as her little ones, to make sure everything was all right with them. But before setting off on the return trip, the rescuers let the mother feed them so that they could go to their new destination at ease.

Andromeda, Nebula, Crypto, Supernova, Comet and Lynx are the names of these little ones.

Once they arrived at the hospital, Luna received her check-up as well as her litter. Fortunately the puppies were quite healthy, this mother had done an extraordinary job.

The space family received food and a good bath, while the puppy did require specific treatment to treat her eye infection. However, it was not life-threatening for either her vision or her own life.

The worst was over for them and, thanks to the person who reported them, they were all set to write a kinder story.

The family is being cared for at the center, but the foundation’s volunteers hope that these little ones will grow up a little more to find them a loving home where they can live happily ever after.

Of the litter, five of the dogs were females and only Cripto turned out to be a boy.

The furry dogs knew very well how to win the love of everyone at the shelter because, in addition to their sad past, the furry family had an otherworldly energy and tenderness with them.

We are sure that in a short time the puppies will have found good and responsible humans.

But not only they deserve a chance, but also their brave mommy Luna.

The loyalty and courage shown by this puppy is admirable and we are sure that whoever takes her into their lives will not regret it at all. We just want her case to raise awareness so that this kind of events are not repeated.

Luna suffered a lot when the life of her puppies was compromised, because of a heartless person who abandoned her in the middle of the desert without caring about her condition.
