As of his most recent check-in, Rick Ross owned over a hundred vehicles, including a Maybach 57S, two Ferraris, a Lamborghini Murciélago, and countless more of the highest caliber. This week, Ross sat inside a car he doesn’t own for the first time, the Bugatti Chiron, and the experience “inspired” the rapper.
Ross took his Instagram followers along for the ride as he got his first look at the Bugatti Chiron and a few other high-end vehicles. The 2019 black and white version of the iconic Bugatti coupe he looked at was listed for $3.75 million. The Chiron gets its 1,479 horsepower from Bugatti’s legendary 8-liter, 16-cylinder, quad-turbocharged W-16 engine. It can reach 261 mph in top speed and accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in under 2.4 seconds.
Ross displayed an in-depth look at the model’s inside, which included Italian Red accents throughout (including the seats, door panels, and steering wheel). It was confirmed by the Bugatti official that the model Ross was trying was the “only certified, pre-owned in the country at the moment sold by Bugatti,” and despite having just purchased his fifth Rolls-Royce, Ross was definitely tempted to add this one to his collection as well.
“Guys, this is a moment,” Ross said as he sat down in the Chiron and looked about at the red leather seats and bright blue button to start the engine. There was a “fat boy” in a Bugatti. Motivated, yes!
Ross’s test vehicle is identical to one now listed on duPont Registry for $3,799,900, except it has a black inside rather than the Italian Red Ross posted about on social media. However, the $10.7 million that the one-of-a-kind Bugatti Chiron Profilée fetched at RM Sotheby’s Paris auction in February made it the most expensive new car ever sold at auction, so while the nearly $4 million price tag is no laughing matter, it is not the most expensive Bugatti ever sold.
It’s no surprise that the rapper is back in the car-buying market, as 2023 will see the return of the Rick Ross Car Show. If he does decide to buy a Bugatti, it will be in time to join his collection of over a hundred other high-end vehicles.
