For years, dog breeders have strived to maintain stereotypes by seriously risking their health. And sadly, these innocent creatures end up paying even with their lives, just to satisfy human whims.

Several studies have shown the danger of puppies being constantly crossbred with others of the same breed, as it reinforces genetic characteristics that leave their lives in danger.

The breeders who abandoned this poor puppy had no idea they were discarding a celebrity.

Sadly, all of this is ignored time and time again. Especially when it comes to people who have managed to make a business out of puppies.

Some breeders who specialize in Pomeranian puppies were shocked when one puppy looked much bigger and fluffier than the rest of his siblings.

He was so adorable, but he didn’t meet his breeders’ petty goals.

He didn’t meet the characteristics of a Pomeranian, so they couldn’t sell him. The furry little guy was beautiful but was rejected by his owners and they decided to simply surrender him to a shelter.

He looked like an adorable baby bear but the breeders couldn’t see him as anything more than a commodity.

So Bertram had to spend a couple of months in an Oklahoma shelter. Despite the tireless work of the rescuers, these places are not the right places for a cub to grow up.

They are the most innocent and their fate can be very uncertain.

They need to receive specialized care as much as possible and can become very lonely staying most of the day in very small spaces.

Fortunately, Bertram managed to steal Kathy Grayson’s heart and got to know the beautiful life that all furries deserve.

He is the fluffiest and softest creature, with a sweet gaze that makes anyone fall in love with him.

Kathy was looking for a pet through a website and once she saw the beautiful furry guy she knew he was the one for her.

Now, she lives next door to him in New York and her favorite pastime is taking pictures of beautiful Bertram.

No one can pass him by when they see him on the street.

The little guy steals everyone’s eyes and has caused such a furor that he is already known as a celebrity on the networks.

The reason why he was rejected during his first weeks of life, has become precisely his most peculiar and most adored feature by everyone.

“He looks a lot like the little bear from the movie Paddington. Many see him and point out the resemblance. Some people think he’s really a baby bear,” Kathy said.

Now, the adorable little furry guy spends his days meeting countless admirers at the art gallery where his mom works. It’s amazing to think that anyone could turn down and cast aside such a beautiful little dog like Bertram.

All the admirers of the little furry dog on the networks are overflowing with comments of admiration and applause to his owner for filling him with so much love. Many would like to have one just like him at home, but what is really important is that no matter the breed, all dogs are equally deserving of a loving home.

His story is one more reminder that we must promote adoption and strongly reject the sale of pets.

Who knew that this beautiful little furry bear of a dog could one day be rejected and looked at as nothing more than an object. Luckily, he is now the happiest and everyone who meets him has a permanent smile on their face!
