One woman could not have imagined that her harmless visit to a shelter would end like this, the immediate reaction of the cat who did not know her left her in tears.

They have a reputation for being aloof, introverted, unexpressive and extremely independent. But, when a cat chooses you as the center of its attention and affections, you will be the object of the most unconditional and devoted love, you will receive the most absolute and passionate displays of devotion.

This is what happened to Jessica Parken, who in the company of her fiancé Andy Brumagen (both from Washington State, USA), went on a visit to a pet adoption shelter.

A beautiful tabby cat from a shelter caught the attention of the girl, who gave him a simple petting.

This simple gesture caused the feline, named Clutch, to throw himself into Jessica’s arms, while she was moved by the spontaneous show of love in the form of a hug and, on the verge of tears, watched as the cat rubbed his nose against her neck and clung to her tightly.

Jessica could not believe that such a creature could be in such need of affection.

Jessica says she felt her heart melt at such affection because she couldn’t take Clutch home with her, as he had a history of bad relationships with other adult cats and intolerance to children, and the couple had a sick 19-year-old cat and a one-year-old baby in their home.

Her heart was really breaking in two knowing she couldn’t take him with her.

When she tried to return him to his place in the shelter, the cat clung even tighter to the girl’s arms, who felt faint knowing she couldn’t take him home.

That look spoke of all that he had suffered and begged for someone who would truly love him.

Looking for a way to solve the problem of finding Clutch a suitable and loving home, they decided to post a video of the kitten in Jessica’s arms on their social network to raise awareness among local cat lovers, who soon began to come to the store to apply as potential adopters.

The scenes soon touched the hearts of millions of people around the country and the world.

Shortly after posting the video on social media, Jessica stopped by the store again to find out how the process of selecting her friend’s new humans was going.

Clutch only deserved to get to the best home where he would be offered a real family.

She received the wonderful news that the applications had exceeded all expectations, until finally last January 24, Clutch was assigned a new home, according to his characteristics where he will be able to give and receive all the love he deserves.

While many are happy for the fate of this cute kitten, others feel sad that finally the girl had not softened her heart and took him home with her. But, the important thing to know is that he now has arms to snuggle in and will never be lonely again.

There are thousands of ways we can help others, always think of the alternatives. And this woman, even though she didn’t adopt him, did the best she could and she wasn’t wrong. There is never anything like living in a loving home.
