Seeing a puppy dressed in a sweater is something that at first glance seems very cute and touching. But, far from being adorable, what was happening with the photo of this puppy eternally wearing a Christmas sweater brought tears to the eyes of the whole world.

When a new year begins, many have the opportunity to leave behind the happy memories of holidays with family and unforgettable moments next to the one who loves and cares for them.

Sadly, that did not happen to a sad little dog who had hoped to be adopted and who refused to stop dreaming, still wearing a colorful green Christmas sweater 3 months later.

The face of the desolate little dog speaks for itself.

His name is Bobby, a poor, sad-looking little dog who one fateful day was abandoned by the family he trusted so much.

His owners left him to fend for himself in a shelter, even taking his collar and leash, plunging him into deep despair and uncertainty.

The volunteers at the Miami-Dade Animal Services Shelter, aware of Bobby’s sad past, thought the magic of Christmas would bring luck to the little guy.

So they dressed him in a plush green sweater and posted a photo of him on their social media, with the fervent wish of finding him a home.

Days passed, Christmas was behind us and, although Bobby’s photo went viral and many fell in love with his story, no family gave him the opportunity to have a loving home.

The reality of the furry dog was very sad and his situation activated a code red at the shelter, being at the top of a list that only includes dogs that will be euthanized.

Bobby is a very intelligent dog and the situation, rather than saddening him, devastated him completely.

He knew he was on the verge of losing his life because of the absurd selfishness of humans who could not realize how special he is.

All it took was one family to decide to take a chance on him.

“Very sad. I hope you find a home very soon Bobby. You deserve all the love in the world,” said one netizen.

Bobby looked so emaciated and sad that he was not even able to lift his little head. His eyes were almost closed from so much suffering and the only colorful thing on him was still that green hope-colored sweater.

But sometimes the magic of Christmas works too slowly, and that happened to this poor little dog.

Fortunately, a woman arrived at the shelter interested in adopting Bobby, unleashing a great jubilation of joy in the place. At last Bobby, had his longed-for home!

“I’m so happy for Bobby, I’m so glad a wonderful woman came to help him. It’s a miracle from heaven, he has found his forever home. Hopefully his former owners won’t be allowed to have any other pets,” mentioned another netizen.
