For a loving owner, parting even for a few seconds from his beloved puppy can seem like forever. Sometimes, he has no choice but to leave him outside while he attends to his duties, but that doesn’t stop him from worrying that he doesn’t lack protection and love.

Many times, we underestimate a small act of solidarity because we think it is insignificant; however, no matter how small it may be, it can change the world for someone. A simple word full of tenderness, a sweet look, a warm caress can leave an indelible mark on the soul of someone who needs it most.

Kristina Hollie and her co-worker witnessed this after witnessing a modest gesture of generosity that would later become the object of admiration for thousands of people.

While they were waiting for the bus in Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts, they couldn’t ignore an adorable puppy who was accompanying his human mother on errands.

This woman, the puppy’s owner, was preparing what she needed to deliver to the post office, but unfortunately she couldn’t take her pet inside with her. So she fastened him securely to the tree, to leave him there during her absence.

The poor puppy began to shiver from the low temperature, it was obvious that he was very cold.

Fortunately, there are angels on earth and this mother is one of them. Against what she would have wanted, she was forced to leave her little dog there, but that was no obstacle for her to take a minute and let her warm heart give shelter to her furry son after making a gesture full of love.

“It was very cold and windy. I noticed he was shivering, and obviously she noticed it too because she immediately took off her jacket and covered the dog as he sat down. She leaned down and wrapped it around him!” said Kristina.

The dog in a gesture of trust sat completely still while the woman wrapped the jacket around him, he really was so grateful to feel something so warm.

There are moments when words are superfluous and this really is one of them, as well as the one that starred a woman who made her scarf into a blanket to cover a puppy who was curled up shivering from the cold, in Turkey.

Undoubtedly, this mother would have taken her dog inside the post office if she had been allowed to.

What she did for her beloved puppy is an example of what true love is all about.

She didn’t do like many other owners who just think they are coming and going and leave their pet suffering from extreme cold or heat. This woman made sure her puppy was as comfortable and as possible until she returned.

“As soon as he got up and walked past me I told him that what he just did was an incredibly sweet and thoughtful act,” Kristina said.

Without a doubt, it is an act of the purest love.

“Thank you, I don’t want him to be cold!” the adorable pup’s mother replied.

This four-legged friend sat comfortably on the sidewalk waiting for his mother with his jacket on.

The images speak for themselves, inevitably the puppy caught the attention of passersby who couldn’t resist photographing him.

“I saw two or three other people walk past him and comment that he looked so cute and warm,” Kristina said.

Finally, the bus arrived and before boarding, they said goodbye to this touching scene with a look at the grateful puppy.

This is a story that shows us that love is present in the smallest details. The gesture of this mother who covered her pet with love is a true example to follow.
