A cat ringing the doorbell to enter your house may sound crazy. That is why the one in this story has become one of the most viral characters on social networks.
And we can’t deny that animals have the ability to become a trend for the witty videos they star in. It is precisely a cat who has caught the attention of thousands of Internet users around the world when he was captured outside his master’s house trying to get the door open.
He surprised his family by ringing the doorbell late at night.
This is Winston, an adorable cat who lives with his family in Sitka, Alaska. The mischievous kitty enjoys his evening strolls through his community. However, he doesn’t always find the door or windows open and it is here where he performs an incredible act of cunning and intelligence that leaves everyone surprised.
One day at the end of his walk, Winston returned home but when he arrived he noticed that everything was locked, so he decided to ring the doorbell.
The mischievous cat enjoys taking nightly walks around the neighborhood.
The family was completely unaware of their cat’s wanderings, so when they heard the late-night knock on the door, it was inevitable not to worry.
Jamie Dunn, the cat’s mother, who works as an ambulance paramedic, recalls that she was puzzled that night to hear her doorbell ring so late. Far be it from her to imagine that the protagonist of that action was Naughty Winston.
It wasn’t until she saw through the peephole her cat waiting to come in. Fortunately, everything was recorded on Jamie’s security camera, who later decided to share the curious scene on social networks. On the matter the mother of the kitten, Jamie commented:
“Winston is about 2 years old. We were ready to take him in and he ended up staying with the family. He acts like a teenager, constantly going in and out of the house, and just likes to be held and petted on his own terms.”
Without a doubt, this is a very curious and intelligent cat that reminds us of the independence and cunning that these little furries possess. His mother noted:
“He goes in and out of the house while I answer calls during the day and night from the ambulance.”
While the video is only 27 seconds long, it is long enough to see Winston in action. He seems to recognize all too well that that little button is the key to alerting his owner that there is someone outside wanting to enter the house.
At this, Jamie couldn’t help but be surprised to see that it was her cat ringing the doorbell. Although Wiston has his own cat door, he learned to press the doorbell and only wants to enter the house by going through the big door.
“My cat has learned to ring the doorbell when he wants to come in the house,” Jamie said.
After the video was posted on Facebook, users were quick to make funny comments. Some of the most popular read:
– “I hope they punished him for coming home so late.”
-My cat knocks on my bedroom door. The first time I was scared, now I know it’s him”.
– “It’s like my cats, they come in at 1-2 am and start purring because the door is closed. Until I get up to open it for them.”
– “They are oblivious in that family, because they didn’t give him keys.”
– “Cats know more than we think they do”.
Once again cats show us that they are worthy of a surprising intelligence. They are capable of gathering information, assimilating it and using it to their advantage.
Cats are beings to be admired, but above all to be loved above all else. Tell us if you have lived a family experience with your furry friend.
