Living on the streets is a very difficult situation for any being; that’s why for the little dog that stars in this story it was a necessity to find a place where he would be well received.

The dog we will show you below melted with love, after one of the inhabitants of the neighborhood where he used to hang out gave him a chance.

A woman named Jillian became the puppy’s rescuer.

As it turned out, this black mongrel was often walking around the woman’s house. She had already seen him on a few occasions but he had never shown any interest in approaching her, in fact he preferred to keep his distance, so Jillian didn’t approach him either so as not to intimidate him.

Being a street dog she feared he would be aggressive but was surprised to meet him.

It was one night when the woman went out to take out the garbage and felt as if someone was watching her in the dark: it was the homeless puppy she had seen the previous days. Jillian wanted to approach him at that moment, as she thought he was looking for shelter and felt very sorry for him.

However, the puppy ran away as soon as it sensed the woman’s intentions to approach it.

The animal needed help and she felt bad for not being able to help it. But the woman kept insisting, on one occasion she saw it sniffing through the neighbor’s garbage and wanted to approach it.

But at that moment it was born from her soul to speak softly to him and she noticed that the little dog stopped to look at her.

The animal seemed to be impressed by the sweet treatment that the woman was giving him, perhaps the poor thing had become accustomed to the shouting or unfair treatment of people and that is why he was afraid of strangers.

Although the morning of that encounter the little dog also ran away, the fact that he stopped for a moment to watch her, ended up arousing more curiosity in Jillian.

Now she knew it was a matter of trust.

She thought that perhaps a few tender words, some demonstrations of love or even food would be enough to make the runaway puppy not resist and let her approach him.

It was at that moment that Jillian began a long hunt until the puppy arrived again and she was able to apply her new strategies.

It wasn’t long after the encounter that the animal and she crossed paths again.

As on other occasions, the puppy appeared and upon seeing Jillian tried to escape. But at that moment she began to say nice words to him in a pleasant tone, went into her house for food and a bowl of water, and left him in her garden.

She knew that dogs have a rather sensitive sense of smell, so she bet on the scent of kibble to attract him.

She was right, because the little dog did not resist and when he saw that the woman only wanted to help him, he ended up betting on her. After those furtive encounters for weeks, the animal had walked up to her and as soon as Jillian petted him the puppy melted completely.

He just needed a little bit of love.

It seems he was not only a rather suspicious canine, but with a huge heart. The poor thing felt safe with this woman and as soon as she touched him he knew she was a good person.

Jillian was not going to hurt him, on the contrary, she just wanted to help him and that lesson was understood by the little dog who now lives with the woman. She made him part of her family and also named him Moon.
