Like humans, dogs are sometimes born with hearing problems or experience hearing loss as a result of disease, inflammation, aging or exposure to noise.
That’s why dog owners should keep in mind that when it comes to adopting or caring for a furry one, they may be a little different.
Puppy with hearing problems surprises everyone with her adorable silent barking.

And if we’re talking about different furries, we want to introduce you to Reese, an adorable puppy who doesn’t let her hearing limitation slow her down. Reese was adopted a little over a month ago by Samantha Ramos and her husband.
The couple has experience with furry dogs – they have another dog named Roxx at home – so when little Reese came into their home, they quickly noticed that she was very different.

While it is not always easy to identify the signs when a puppy has hearing problems, the most noticeable is that it stops responding to sounds or commands. And it was precisely this that Samantha and her husband noticed in the puppy. In this regard Ramos commented:
“She didn’t seem to respond to anything I was saying. We suspected she was deaf. I took her to the vet, and he confirmed it.

Faced with the dog’s hearing problem, Ramos adjusted the training so she could adapt. However, she was completely surprised to find that little Reese found a way to do or simulate the basics of being a puppy: bark.

It all started one day when Ramos was at home with Reese and Roxx, and the two little furry dogs began to play.
As expected, Roxx between adventure and fun began to bark playfully to his little sister, to everyone’s surprise, Reese was not left behind and looked for a way to respond. Only he didn’t make the typical puppy bark, Reese didn’t make a sound.
Luckily, Ramos decided to make a video showing the silent barking of his adorable furball and shared it on his Tiktok account.
Reese’s adorable and peculiar way of barking went viral and has conquered more than 8 million netizens worldwide.

Although Reese doesn’t make a sound when she barks, she doesn’t need to be loud to attract attention, her tenderness, but above all, her cunning make her irresistible and completely adorable.
Fortunately, she has her faithful friend Roxx who has been her main guide and accomplice for all doggy activities.

She also has the unconditional love of her parents who accept her as she is, and more than a different dog, they see her as a special being who came into their lives to fill her with much more love.
This adorable ball of fur continues to grow by leaps and bounds without ceasing to look for new ways to communicate.
“Now, she has learned to bark, but she goes back and forth between her quiet bark and her loud bark,” Ramos said.

If you suspect your dog has hearing problems, it is best to see a veterinarian for diagnostic advice.
Although there are many myths about deaf dogs that can discourage a person to adopt, encountering negative warnings related to behavioral problems or aggressiveness, you should keep in mind that this type of situation happens in all types of dogs, of different sizes and breeds.
Hearing problems have nothing to do with the behavior of the puppy, it all depends on the owner’s willingness to train and educate the new family member.
This puppy reminds us that being different is not being alien to this world, just a very special being willing to love unconditionally.
