For animal lovers, a dog is more than a pet, it is a member of the family and when they get lost or something bad happens to them, they feel a great sorrow, their humans do whatever it takes to find them, and always keep the hope of having them back no matter how much time passes.
Jorge, Giorgi’s faithful dog and best friend meant a lot in her life.

Giorgi Bereziani is a 62-year-old man who lives with his family in Tbilisi, Georgia. He spent his days entertaining his mongrel dog named George. But one day his doggy companion disappeared. Anxiety and worry overwhelmed the good human who began to look for him everywhere.
He was very happy until his furry friend disappeared.

As time went by, the man’s grief increased, and from that moment on it became a habit to put up posters, notices and all kinds of messages of missing people in the streets.
He told his friends, acquaintances and passers-by to be aware and to inform him in case they knew anything about the dog.
Jorge was still missing, but after three long years, what Giorgio had been waiting for came to pass.

Nothing seemed to work, and everyone at home missed the little animal. Coming home was no longer the same without hearing the dog’s joyful barking and constant displays of affection, to which everyone was accustomed.

Suddenly, and when he least expected it, Giorgi received a phone call from the workers of the city’s opera house, the men claimed to have seen a dog in the building very similar to the one they had reported missing.
Giorgio’s heart was racing with excitement, he felt inside that he would soon see his friend.

The man reacted immediately, and drove off to the right place, happy and full of hope. As soon as he parked, he walked quickly looking everywhere, finally he could see his unmistakable Jorge, resigned and huddled next to a tree on the sidewalk.

“Jorge, is that you?” asked Giorgi holding her breath.
The dog upon recognizing the familiar voice turned his face with some hesitation, but as he got closer he could see that it was his human. He had no doubt, it was his beloved Giorgi who had come for him.
The faithful pet began to wag his tail happily, he was crying with joy like a little boy who has lost his way and has just seen his father.

“We searched for three years. Then we found him,” Giorgi added very happy and excited.
The dog had a yellow ear tag, an identification that city animal control personnel attach to stray dogs and animals they find, after they have been vaccinated, spayed or neutered. Possibly Jorge had such a procedure done and was released.

Giorgi had recorded the ineffable and emotional moment from the beginning, and later shared it on his social networks. Jorge climbed into the back of the car and upon arriving home he excitedly pounced on his relatives who were just as happy about the reunion.

He danced happily back and forth and sniffed everything around him as if to make sure he was finally home.
Nothing could dash his hope and love.

To this day no one knows for sure how he got lost, but what they are sure of is that from that moment on they will be more aware of his movements, and will try to make up for lost time with Jorge by giving him all the love they were unable to give him during those three years.

Undoubtedly, the best moments in life are spent with a pet, whose love is unconditional and eternal.
