On April 10, 1992, Sadio Mané was born in Bambali, Sédhiou, Senegal. He is a forward for Bayern Munich of the Bundesliga and the Senegal national team.

At the age of 19, Mané began his professional career with the Ligue 2 team Metz. However, he moved after just one season to play for Red Bull Salzburg in Austria in 2012.
Red Bull Salzburg won the domestic league and cup in the 2013–14 campaign. Mané transferred to Southampton in England later that summer for a then-club-record £11.8 million.
