A Russian Ka-52 being shot down may be seen in drone video shared by Ukraine

Ukraine’s armed forces have shared a drone video showing a Russian Kamov Ka-52 “Alligator” attack helicopter being shot down.
A Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 drone filmed the moment Ukrainian soldiers shot down a Russian warplane in the Zaporizhzhia region of southern Ukraine.

Footage captured by a Bayraktar TB2 drone shows the Russian Ka-52 helicopter flying at extremely low altitude over a field until it collides and crashes to the ground.

According to the open source intelligence monitoring company Oryx, Russia has lost at least 20 Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopters since Russia’s unprovoked attack on Ukraine began on February 24.

According to the Russian arms export agency Rosoboronexport, the Ka-52 is a highly mobile helicopter equipped with a powerful weapon complex and is capable of performing any combat mission with high efficiency.

“Ka-52 has high combat survivability and combat power, it can operate around the clock, it has a variety of aerial and high-altitude weapons. It is the only helicopter in the world equipped with the Shock Absorption & Launch System,” said Rosoboronexport on its website.
