Man United progressed to the FA Cup final for the second consecutive year after beating Coventry on penalties despite leading 3-0 at Wembley.
A supposedly embarrassing victory for MU against second-tier team Coventry. MU players did not seem to celebrate after Hojlund’s decisive penalty kick, instead they consoled their opponents for having a brave match.
However, a special case appeared, Antony made a bad impression in the eyes of the fans, he provoked Coventry players after MU won a difficult victory.
According to journalist Tyrone Marshall of Manchester Evening News, Antony was “cheating” with Coventry fans and players. In contrast to Antony, United defender Harry Maguire immediately shook hands with all Coventry players after MU officially won.
Journalist Sean Walsh described Antony’s actions as “One of the most shameful acts I have ever seen”.
