The photos of the incident have gone viral on social media. As shared by @SunshineCoastSnakeCatchers on Facebook on Tuesday (15/9), the snake is seen hoisting its meal up the roof. 
While some social media users perceive the snake as attempting to devour the possum upside down, others speculate that the snake is simply trying to lift the prey higher in the air.
In addition, many expressed sadness for the possum that fell victim to the snake.
