Helping a stray dog is one of the greatest acts of love anyone can do. We can’t deny that the reality for these furry dogs is completely different.

Many of them spend their days facing a great battle, looking for shelter to avoid the high temperatures or the cold of the night. Some in more delicate conditions plunge into pain expecting the worst when they don’t get the help they need.

A puppy with a bulging stomach gets the help she so desperately needed.

This is the story of a little dog who for a long time wandered from place to place begging for help. With her eyes lost, malnourished, and her skin parched, passersby watched her pass by.

Her stomach was quite bulging, and those who saw her thought she was pregnant, but in reality, she was going through a very difficult situation. Her situation was very complicated and she needed immediate medical attention.

The dog spent most of her time crestfallen.

It wasn’t until a passerby took pity on her and contacted a rescue group who arrived on the scene with the utmost excitement to save her and improve her life condition.

She was taken to a veterinary clinic where she underwent x-rays, blood samples and fluid analysis. This time she had the support of some people who patiently waited for the results.

Her rescuers filled several buckets with the serous fluid they drained from her stomach.

It was quickly ruled out that she was pregnant, in reality she had liters of liquid in her stomach that caused her great pain, among the discomfort the large size of her belly prevented her from walking easily.

During the first day they managed to extract more than 10 liters, little by little her body was recovering its shape. The fluid was being drained and the pain was getting less and less, finally her life of pain and misery was becoming a thing of the past.

When all the liquid was drained, his bad condition became even more evident, it was only skin and bones.

Several sessions were necessary to extract all the liquid. The tests showed that he was suffering from ascites, a disease that affects puppies in which a large amount of fluid accumulates in their abdomen.

This can cause a variety of symptoms such as sudden weight gain, discomfort in the stomach area, and loss of appetite. Studies show that it may occur as a result of a disorder in the internal organs or lymph nodes.

Ascites in severe cases can cause pressure on the diaphragm resulting in a breathing disorder.

It is necessary that a puppy suffering from ascites be taken to a veterinarian for proper treatment. Pet owners are also urged to be vigilant with their puppies, as many may believe that they have gained weight when in fact they may be retaining fluid.

These symptoms can occur slowly or very suddenly in either case, you should always go to the veterinarian, treatment may vary, but if there is infection the intake of antibiotics is essential.

The dog was named Fufy.

This brave dog proved to be a warrior, for the first time in a long time she seemed to be calm, finally she would be able to sleep and lead a healthy life surrounded by love. She spent several days in the clinic, but managed to successfully overcome this great battle.

She can now lie down without any pain, stand up and run like any other puppy. None of this would have been possible without the compassion and empathy of a being who decided to make a difference and change her life.
