A dog was spotted by a man who, after returning home in Detroit, noticed a small dog chained up in a neighbor’s backyard.
Faced with the heartwarming scene, the man began frantically calling different rescue groups for help. Fortunately, Rebel Dogs Detroit answered the call and quickly dispatched a volunteer.
Dog chained in a backyard can’t believe he was finally rescued.

Tiffany Perkins approached the scene, far from imagining she would encounter a completely vulnerable dog, her gaze could only convey sadness and desolation.
Perkins felt her heart break into a thousand pieces. On this to volunteer he commented:
“Beaker was shy and hid behind the garage. He peeked out the side when I started to call out to him.

As I got closer, his tail started to wag.
Then he pushed his weight against us to pet him, and he seemed visibly relieved. He was so excited that we called him Beaker.”

Although the dog was frightened at first, he gradually grew to trust his rescuers.
All it took was one touch from Perkins for the little dog to relax completely, no doubt he had recognized that these were good people and was excited to be set free.
“When the garage chain came off, he jumped down on the floor to have his belly rubbed, kissed and we played for a moment,” Perkins said.

Unfortunately, the chain was very tight around the little dog’s neck, that area was very injured, he had visibly been chained up for a long time so they couldn’t remove it until they got to the veterinary clinic, where they checked him over and performed all the pertinent tests.
His situation was quite delicate, so they had to schedule a surgery to remove the chain.
His neck had a heavy chain that strongly injured his skin. In spite of the pain he could feel, the dog could not stop smiling.

While it was time for surgery, Perkins had plenty of time to spoil the sweet little dog, he was finally getting all the love he had been denied.
“We had a lot of bonding time in the car waiting for his surgery for over 5 hours. After a while, he was napping with his head in my lap,” Perkins commented.

Fortunately, the surgery was a success, and he spent his recovery process in a foster home.
For the first time he was enjoying a real home, he seemed simply the happiest dog in the world.

Although the past of this adorable ball of fur is marked by pain, what really matters is that he is enjoying a present full of love and kindness, next to amazing people who gave him a new chance and watch over his well-being. Perkins commented:
“He is learning to be an indoor dog with unconditional love in his foster home.”

Beaker is still training to be that well-mannered, loving little dog that adds happiness to a family.
He is a very energetic little furry guy so he would love to be part of a home where there is another doggy with whom he can drain all his energy.
His happiness is the best gift for those who bet on saving his life and giving him a new chance.
For now, he continues to enjoy all the care and love that his foster parents offer him. It is only a matter of time before this beautiful dog can find the permanent family he so richly deserves.
If you want to meet the eyes of gratitude and unconditional love, adopt a helpless puppy. You will have a furry guardian angel who will love and care for you much more than you can imagine.
