A kitten is stealing the hearts of the whole world after the shelter she was in smiled at every person who visited her, to see if that would get her attention.
Nala is a kitten from the Netherlands, who has no idea how adorable she can be just by existing… And smiling!
The kitten had a condition that made her permanent smile so adorable.
Her past was a bit sad, as she was found on the streets in a pregnant state. A person tried to help her, after taking her to a veterinary clinic they had to perform an emergency caesarean section. Of her two offspring, only one survived.
Volunteers from Dierenbescherming, an animal protection group, decided to take in the mother and kitten. Luckily, the little furball thrived so quickly that it wasn’t difficult to find her a home. But the mother needed more attention.
It didn’t take long for them to realize that Nala wasn’t just any kitten. When someone started to approach her, a permanent smile would immediately appear on her face.
But they discovered that it was actually a result of her condition: cleft lip and a skin condition.
She’s not even aware of how adorable she can be when she smiles
“We give her hypoallergenic food and she’s doing much better. He may always need this special food,” said Ineke Kamps, a volunteer at the shelter.
It was really touching to see how with the presence of any visitor, Nala would immediately get excited and start meowing to be noticed.
She would not hesitate to stand on her two little paws through the glass, keeping her gaze fixed and with that everlasting smile that charms and melts anyone. If she achieved her goal, it wouldn’t take long for her to let herself be petted, in a profusion of purrs without limits.
“The perfect home for her would be a house with a (fenced) garden, with humans who are home a lot and who have no problems with her special diet. It’s fine to place her with other cats, but she will need individual feeding,” Ineke related.
Ineke was really surprised how happy Nala could be with a human. But unlike us, her love does not discriminate. She will be so kind, sweet and playful, with people and animals alike. When Ineke came to the shelter every morning, she couldn’t miss the big welcome from her little love bug.
At two years old, she is still a tremendously playful, mischievous and cheerful kitty who loves to explore everything around her.
Undoubtedly, her hallmark will always be the heavenly smile with which she greets everyone. It’s as if she wants those who approach her to know how happy she is and how much she loves to be petted.
A story as tender as this one had to end in the happiest way, just like Nala herself. So they quickly found a perfect home for her, full of love, where she has no shortage of caresses, and has someone to smile at all times. Now she no longer has to go to great lengths to be noticed.

Who would have thought that after her desolation in the streets, she would become the most pampered and loved kitten, not only by her new family, but also by all the millions of internet users who have seen her video.
It gives us great joy that now her life will only be summed up in purrs and cuddles, cats are wonderful! If only we humans could imitate their innocence, tenderness and nobility.
