A fragile and tiny kitten finally found the chance to recover and have a new life. His story touches everyone’s heart.
In the middle of last June, a Los Angeles animal rescuer was contacted about a kitten in need of help.
The little feline was three months old but the size of a mere 5-week-old cat. He had a mild upper respiratory tract infection, an umbilical hernia, his nose and mouth were misaligned, giving him a Picasso face.
Pinocchio has a jaw malformation that makes him look like a kitten painted by Picasso.

Friends for Life Rescue Network learned of his plight and immediately offered to take him in. The kitten was born with a birth defect that caused his jaw to be misaligned.
He arrived at the shelter dehydrated, malnourished and covered in fleas. The little guy was just skin and bones and was very sleepy. He was extremely hungry and consumed two cans of food that was a ton for his small, weak body.
Sick and full of fleas, this little guy did not give up despite the adversity.

With plenty of nutritious food, quality rest and proper care, the kitten named Pinocchio perked up and started walking.
As soon as he felt better, he stood up, wanting attention and affection. He quickly became a very loving little guy, showing with his gestures the gratitude he felt for having received help.
Pinocchio, a kitten with a very special face, came to show that he was ready to fight.

Whenever Pinocchio sees his caregivers in the room, he gets their attention with his paws and tries to speak in his cute quiet meows.
Once he gets a little affection in his ear, he turns on his purring motor and rolls onto his back, trying to get his belly rubbed. He loves to receive cuddles, he is pleased in a place where he is loved and protected as he deserves.
Little by little he has overcome the hard adversities he had to face and has become a strong and mischievous cat.
He loves to play and this is a good sign that he has overcome his limitations.

Pinocchio continues to make progress every day. He is very active and wants to play with anything that moves, his personality is shining and with a lot of effort and love he managed to overcome the most difficult moments.
The kitten will be seen by a dental specialist and a neurological specialist to make sure he gets all the medical attention he needs.
In addition to loving to play, Pinocchio always has a willing attitude when it comes to giving or receiving affection.

The spunky little guy loves being around people and doesn’t mind visits to the vet.
Now that the kitten has regained his energy, he is constantly having fun and loving all his new toys. It is gratifying to know that there are caring people willing to give animals a new chance at happiness, to change their fate and get them to recover from their painful past.
The sweet kitten asks for attention every time someone passes by, reaches out with his paw and indicates to his humans that it’s time for some cuddling and snuggling.
He knows how to perfectly express what he needs and ask for the affection he loves so much.
Pinocchio shows us that the sweetness and love of a pet is not measured in his appearance, he held on for dear life and managed to overcome the worst to become a very naughty kitty. We love happy endings like this and hope that all suffering animals can be rescued.
