Usually, puppies have a favorite toy, stuffed animal or object to play with, even if they have several options, there will be one in particular that will become their favorite.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a worn out shoe, some old flannel, or a stuffed animal with a particular smell and texture, the spoiled of the house end up clinging to that favorite toy, they take care of it, they carry it with them everywhere and in that way they become attached to them creating a great emotional bond.

Puppies can create a great attachment with their favorite toy.

This is the story of Jamaica, an adorable little dog who was rescued when she was just a puppy, since then she revealed her tender and playful personality. Something that melted even more her new family who do their best to please her.

This adorable ball of fur is a pitbull who has shown a certain fascination for soft things, she has many stuffed toys that she loves to chew on, she could spend hours playing with any of them.

Jamaica always carries her toy wherever she goes.

However, there is one that has especially caught her attention. A bright pink octopus that she won’t let go of for the world.

Jamaica puts all her energy into the little stuffed animal and unfortunately she has already had some injuries. Her mother, Ana María Peña del Águila, commented on the matter:

“He loves everything that is soft and squishy. A few months ago, my mother gave him the octopus and he loved it”.

Jamaica loves all her toys, but since the octopus came into her life she rarely leaves it’s side, no matter if it’s dirty or ragged, this little dog will choose it above all else.

Due to the intensity and frequency with which this beautiful ball of fur plays with the tentacled toy it was inevitable that it would break, something that inevitably ended up devastating Jamaica.

She was fascinated by what her grandmother was doing with her favorite toy.

Fortunately, Ana’s mom came to the rescue and provided first aid, it was so worn out that surgery had to be performed on the injured toy.

While this was going on, Jamaica seemed to understand the delicacy of the matter and never left her side as she worriedly watched the whole procedure.

Ana pointed out that this is not the first time the octopus has broken. In this regard she added:

“Her octopus has needed surgery about three or four times. Each time, Jamaica waits patiently until it is cooked. When she gets the toy back, she is very happy.”

Thanks to the surgeries, Jamaica can continue to enjoy her favorite toy, apparently this naughty and smart little dog knows that her mother and grandmother are there to save the toy she is so happy with as many times as necessary.

“I love her. She’s a very good dog,” said Ana.

The pink octopus has had a great positive impact on Jamaica’s life, they have become inseparable companions, although her mother fears that the day will come when a surgery will not be enough to repair it she trusts she will be able to replace it with another toy.

For now, she continues to enjoy great adventures with her fluffy little accomplice.
