Besides being docile, loyal and tender, puppies are animals who drive us crazy with their antics. They are the most amusing companions that our Great Mother Nature engendered for our delight and to make our lives more bearable.

A family living in Alto Taquari, a town located 500 kilometers from the municipality of Cuibá, in Brazil, took on the task of trying to unveil the “mystery” that had been puzzling them for days.

It turns out that, almost every day, the owners went crazy when they heard the bell ringing at the front door of their house and, when they opened it, they did not see who it was. They only found out from some videos taken by neighbors that it was their naughty dog who was ringing the doorbell.

The video of this furry, short-haired, two-foot-tall dog with big, floppy, floppy ears quickly went viral on every digital platform on the planet.

His name is Spark, and his human father, Giglio Bernini. He told a local Brazilian media how his pet kept him and other family members on tenterhooks for quite some time. His family had a theory that a “ghost” was ringing his doorbell almost every day.

“We thought it was a ghost because, out of nowhere, it started ringing and there were never any people at the door. We also suspected it might be children playing, or that someone wanted to rob the house. We didn’t imagine it would be Spark, because we never showed him that,” she said.

In one of the amusing images, you can see the moment when Spark arrives at the front door of the house, rings the doorbell and waits for a family member to open the gate and let him into his quarters. However, every time someone opens, the dog disappears and appears as if by magic.

“We let him free, loose in the backyard, but when someone opens the gate he runs into the street and comes back whenever he wants. We never train. He’s a very smart and funny dog,” said Giglio, his human guardian, very happy to have his furry best friend.

However, to really clear up any doubts as to whether it was indeed Spark ringing the doorbell, Giglio decided to install security cameras himself. Once he reviewed the series of recordings he confirmed his suspicions and realized that his dog does the same thing every day.

Spark is 6 years old and, unfortunately, was stolen when he was just a puppy. According to Giglio himself, he spent six months separated from his family until, one day, as if by a miracle, he was found alone on the street.

“We announced in town that he had been stolen, but we couldn’t find him. After a while they called saying he was in the street. Probably, the person who stole him raised him somewhere in the region and ended up managing to escape,” added Bernini.

According to this man assures, after such a long estrangement from his own, life was never the same again for Spark. He added that the dog’s behavior changed after all that and he became more shy and fearful of unknown people.

However, Spark is still a very sweet and affectionate dog with all his loved ones. Before he was taken from his home, he used to go for walks with everyone, but then he became wary of unfamiliar people. No wonder, after all he had to go through.

But now his feat has earned him to be the most famous on the net, and the love and comments towards the furry little guy’s witticism are non-stop. We hope he will soon be back to his old self and that his owners take good care of him, he deserves all the love he gets!
