Most would assume that the dog would simply walk up to bark at the door, but that’s not what Nuomi did.
This incredibly smart dog manages to open the door before taking the package from the courier and bringing it home. Startled, the curious messenger peeks into the apartment, but then Nuomi gives him a stern warning and yells at him to close the door behind him.
The dog takes the package under the surprised gaze of the delivery man.
Initially, when the video started circulating on the Internet, it was met with a lot of suspicion. Many people believed that it was some kind of hoax in which its owner was trying to gain a lot of views with the Nuomi scene.
On Reddit, for example, someone posted: “Nice video, but the delivery guy is the dog’s owner.” And this user argued his suspicions in that, although the dog barks, the guy delivering the package seems unfazed.
Once he dismisses the courier with an emergency bark, he closes the door of the house himself.

However, it was soon proven that Nuomi was actually smart enough to pull such a stunt on his own without needing his owner’s direction.
The result of the video being real has turned Nuomi into a celebrity, and the puppy was featured in the South China Morning Post. In addition, the courier who delivered the package to Nuomi was also interviewed and admitted:
“I was so scared I didn’t even have time to take the receipt.”
