The following is a story that will take us to meet a friendly homeless cat, who appeared as if by a miracle. Yes, a miracle that made the life of an American family more bearable.

This is Carlton, a desperate feline who for more than a year was hanging around a shelter. He was exploring the possibility of having a place to shelter from the inclemency of the streets of Brooklyn, New York, United States.
This sweet and friendly kitten just wanted to get the love and peace he had been denied so far. The little animal kept intact the hope of being able to satisfy some of his most basic needs.
The friendly cat peeked through the windows of neighborhood homes looking for affection.

It didn’t take long for a young woman who lived in the house to fall in love with the little orange animal. They quickly became friends, and she began to feed him and treat him with affection whenever she saw him arrive.
As a result, the furry animal became a regular visitor. She never missed a single day. It had become clear to her that this would be his sacred place. It would be his food source from now on.

However, the kitten came and went. Unfortunately, one day it appeared again at the window of the house. This time, with a serious wound on his ear that made him meow in pain.
Immediately, upon hearing the whimpering, the young woman approached the little animal to check it out and realized that she had to help it. For his part, the cat, friendly and intelligent as he was, knew that in that house he would find the help and love he so desperately needed to be happy.

“The cat was very intelligent and friendly. When I approached him he didn’t put up any resistance and let himself be helped without any problems. The truth is that the injury he presented did not look good at all,” said the young woman.
And so it was that, with the help of other members of her family, the teenager managed to move the cat to the Little Wanderers rescue center, which is located in New York City.

The truth is that Carlton was in a difficult health situation. He looked sick. In addition, the cut he had on his ear needed to be stitched immediately.
Interestingly, the volunteers at the homeless pet shelter located in the Big Apple were forceful in this regard. Never before had they received so many requests for animals of all ages with any pathology.

“We have never received so many rescue requests for kittens, mamas, sick and injured animals,” said Lisa Scroggins, co-founder of the Little Wanderers NYC shelter.
And like every animal who suffers the indignity that living outdoors and desolate provides, Carlton was no exception. He had to overcome countless obstacles on his journey through the streets.

However, despite all this, he turned out to be a very gentle cat, with a bright soul that allowed him to overcome his condition. Veterinarians revealed that, after a medical examination, Carlton was found to be suffering from feline immunodeficiency virus.

His story spread through social networks and reached the ears of a woman identified by the name of Carianne. She is a resident of Staten Island, located in the same state of New York. She decided to give him a home while she found a permanent one.
The woman was aware of the overcrowding that currently exists in most of the centers for the rescue of stray animals in New York. With his temporary family, Carlton made a full recovery and began to show his gentle and spirited spirit, reciprocating the love they have shown him with tenderness,
However, he hopes to be adopted definitively, although because of his condition it may be a little difficult, it is not impossible. Whoever wishes to know the tenderness of this little one and give him a second chance at life can apply with an application to take him home.

Carlton is a kitten loved by all, very loving and grateful. Today thanks to love he managed to erase his sad past forever. He just needs a forever home to be completely happy.
