For generations we’ve heard that cats and dogs don’t get along very well.

But what happens when it’s a puppy that has to witness a heated argument between felines? In most cases, it could happen that the canine quickly takes sides, and it doesn’t take long to get involved in the street fight, making it a difficult dilemma to solve.

However, nothing like that happened when Elena Grivtsova, a woman from Goryachiy Kluch, Russia, witnessed a confrontation between her kittens Petya and Vasya.

Petya and Vasya were about to have a complicated meeting to settle their differences.

It was last January, when the 38-year-old woman, seeing her kittens in action, did not hesitate to take out her camera to record it all.

But she did not imagine that her little dog Tuzik, barely 6 months old, would quickly enter the scene, really bewildered and very anxious. Seeing that his feline companions, both one year old, were about to lose their friendship, he wasn’t about to let it happen.

It all happened in the family’s backyard, and while Vasya and Petya were challenging each other with their eyes, and started meowing in a clear gesture of anger, Tuzik started running around his friends in his eagerness to get their attention and make them think.

Apparently, the little puppy was starting to get very nervous about the hostile attitude among his friends. And seeing that they were very determined to confront each other, he came up with the best idea to distract them.

Without losing his energy, he runs first to the tabby kitten to make him see that what they are doing is not right at all, with little touches on his tail.

But he ends up frustrated, because although he manages to distract it for a moment, his idea does not seem to get it to desist from the fight.

Now he decides to go to the other black kitten, and quickly begins to get its attention as well, and after biting it a little on the tail, he hopes that they finally realize that such a confrontation is not worth it.

However, despite the puppy’s persistent attempts at conciliation, the cats never let their guard down. At that point, their owner intervenes, but even there the cats don’t seem to relent.

Since the woman uploaded the video to her networks, it has become a true viral phenomenon reaching more than one million views, and thousands of comments online.

Some users have interpreted the dog’s attitude as an attempt to calm down his cat friends and that frankly he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. While others just think he was looking for a little attention, and to be included in his friends’ game. What do you think?
