When our favorite neighbor is a sweet little dog, the surprises we can get every day can be infinite, as adorable.

But sometimes, some scenes can alarm us at first, and it is not until we investigate a little when we know that behind them is the innocence of these creatures that make us fall in love completely.

Jessica Renee Silvey and her family, were surprised by the snout of an exquisite little dog that was peeking through the hole in the backyard fence.

Everyone was enjoying a family pool day at her sister Adrienne Anderson’s house when the furry little dog decided to get their attention… and boy, did she get it!

Jessica went over to investigate what it was all about and noticed the mystery puppy was holding a ball, and as soon as she got close enough she dropped the ball at her feet.

“You can’t just ignore a little dog that drops the ball at your feet and walk away like it’s nothing,” Jessica added.

Jessica picked up the ball and tossed it over the fence, and so began the fun game between her and the mystery puppy, who unplanned, in a matter of moments were having a good time together.

When she saw the neighbor’s dog’s snout through the hole in the fence, she became alarmed.

After talking to her sister Jessica learned that the puppy’s name is Harper, and that this furry friend has been playing through the fence fetch with the family since they moved in.

“We were overjoyed when we realized we could play with Harper through the fence,” Adrienne said.

When Harper’s parents realized she had become friends with the neighbors, the two families exchanged numbers, and now they love to send each other messages talking about Harper and her antics.

Harper is the monotheme of conversation and the bridge between the two families

“We had just moved in that December and hadn’t met Harper’s owners until we started playing with her,” Adrienne added.

The hole in the fence where Harper waits for her playmates was definitely her own doing, but, of course, no one has any plans to fix it.

The resourceful little dog knew the perfect strategy to get her neighbors’ attention… And she succeeded!

“It’s an unspoken rule that will never be fixed,” Jessica said.

Harper’s parents also love to play fetch with her, but since they can’t play all day, this witty little dog relies on her neighbors to fill those bored moments with her favorite game.

Whenever Harper hears her neighbors leaving she doesn’t hesitate to run to the fence where she waits for them to play. This little dog knows her friends next door can’t resist her invitation to fetch the ball.

When Adrienne’s family has guests over and they discover Harper they are always delighted, it’s like the best party trick ever.

“My 5-year-old daughter played a little bit, my sister and her son played a little bit. She was pretty much active all day,” said Jessica.

Harper’s main goal in life seems to be to play with as many people as she can capture with her snout in the hole, which no one can resist.

It is a tender story of how a little dog with her innocence and sweetness, has managed to be the reason of their days for many, and to make children and adults spend moments of healthy fun, that perhaps were already forgotten.

Her neighbors are more than happy to help her with her funny proposal and we are also contemplating her great story.
