A puppy has been given a new lease on life after being rescued from a backyard. Unfortunately, just because the dogs have an owner does not guarantee that they will have a home where they will receive all the love they deserve.
The reality is that there are many furry dogs suffering unfair treatment even under the care of their owners, people who are far from understanding that a puppy is a being that came into the world to be loved, respected and treated as a member of the family.
Doggy can’t stop jumping when he discovers he has his own bed.

Stevie is our beautiful protagonist, he was rescued from a backyard in South Carolina, along with another puppy named Wonder, at the time of their rescue, they were remarkably neglected, it is possible that they have spent the last years of life chained without receiving a gesture of love.
Both furries were taken in by the Lancaster County SPCA, which works in partnership with other rescue groups.

Stevie’s case drew much more attention from his rescuers, he had not only physical but emotional injuries that had turned him into an introverted puppy.
Diamonds in the Ruff in New York heard about Stevie’s case and quickly contacted the SPCA, they wanted to make him a member of their rescue family.
The puppy’s health condition was quite delicate, when he came under the care of Diamonds in the Ruff, their rescuers took care of his case as a priority. Stevie was blind, he was also dealing with fleas, worms and skin conditions.
Upon further examination, they noticed that they had a corn cob trapped in his intestines, so he had to undergo emergency surgery.

Fortunately, he was in good hands, people who with a lot of patience and infinite love accompanied him throughout his recovery process.
Incredibly, while Stevie was facing all his medical problems, the rescue group already had an adoptive family for the furry boy, who patiently waited for him to fully recover and adapt to his new life.
He had never been an indoor dog and had a lot to learn.

The puppy’s foster mom, Erin Boyd commented on the matter:
“He slept most of the way home, but he would start growling and barking from time to time in his kennel.
We knew he was just protecting himself. When we got home, we put the crate inside and he wouldn’t come out.
We were very careful, knowing he couldn’t see and we didn’t know him yet.”

As time passed, Stevie slowly came out of his shell, not only were his physical wounds healing, his emotional wounds seemed to be a thing of the past, he revealed his tender and playful personality winning the hearts of his new family even more.
When this beautiful ball of fur felt confident, he began to discover every part of the house, but what caught his attention the most, was having his own bed for the first time.

The family knew that the little dog had probably never had a soft bed to sleep in before, so they made sure to give him a bed, a blanket and all the love in the world to make him really happy. As soon as the little dog felt the comfort of the bed, he started jumping for joy.
Since then, every time he goes to take a nap or just lie down for a while, this beautiful little dog performs his own jumping routine.
He finally has something of his own that makes him feel comfortable, so he doesn’t hesitate to show everyone how happy he is.
“He’s so smart, he learned very quickly how to navigate around the house. He can find his way from the backyard, through the garage and up the three steps in the house.
He knows to wait for a treat in the kitchen when he comes in, and he knows to jump on my bed.
He sleeps a lot, but loves to cuddle, go for walks, chew on squeaky toys and give kisses!”

This beautiful little dog has been through a lot, but is finally enjoying being that loved and spoiled puppy of a family.
There is no better friend than a furry little furry friend. Those earthly angels that come to show us true love regardless of their past hurts. We wish Stevie long life and lots of love.
