After devouring green crops in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, UP govt is preparing themselves for the movement of the swarm of locusts in their areas. Uttar Pradesh government has asked all District Magistrates to remain prepared for the movement of the swarm of locusts. According to the scientist, the locusts can move 100 to 150 kilometres in a day and can destroy an entire crop of fruits and vegetables within a matter of 20 to 25 minutes.
