Kitten who lost her ears is adopted thanks to crocheted ears given to her as a gift

In the indifferent world we live in, where nothing seems to surprise or motivate us, there are few events that move our hearts almost mechanically, but when it comes to animals everything changes, only they remind us that we are still human.

The story of Lady, a cute kitten, is capable of touching even the most indifferent of men, because despite her size and her special condition, she has never ceased to see the world with optimism and hope.

Lady is a kitten who lived for a long time on the dangerous streets and, in December last year, was taken in by the Dane County Humane Society.

As soon as she arrived there, she had to undergo a wide range of veterinary check-ups as her health was badly affected by the way she had been living.

It was then that life had a big test in store for Lady that she could certainly recover from: her ears had to be removed due to severe chronic infections and bruising.

Fortunately, this kitty’s surgery was successful and even the vets believe she can now hear better than ever, so she doesn’t miss anything going on around her.

The Society’s volunteers feared that because of her new appearance she might not be adopted. So a volunteer there, named Ash Collins, opted to make her some cute knitted ears, as colorful as the feline’s spirit.

“I was more than happy to use my crocheting skills to help Lady stand out and get the second chance she deserved, I’m so honored to be a small part of her happy ending,” the volunteer stated.

Lady looked so adorable with her little purple ears crocheted, the shelter volunteers couldn’t help but take several pictures of her and post them on their social media to spread the word about her case.

“What a nice gesture. Thank you so much for taking care of her. I hope she finds a home that loves her as she is,” commented one netizen.

But they never imagined that the story of the cute Lady would go viral and many people would offer to open the doors of their homes to her. Within hours, Lady had a forever home.

Now, Lady is surrounded by a family that protects her from everything. She will never go through any sad experiences again and loves that her looks make her unique in the world: she never tires of playing and tapping them on the heads of everyone around her.
