A kitten with 4 ears will leave behind abandonment to live in a home under the protection of a family that was willing to adopt her. Although she had fewer opportunities because of her condition, finally the right people appeared to take in Midas.

All animals deserve to be loved and protected regardless of their condition, age or appearance, but unfortunately some do not comply with this premise when adopting a pet.

Luckily, Midas came to the right place, she is a cat with two pairs of ears that moved thousands of people after her case spread on social networks.

Midas has two normal ears, like any cat, and next to them she has two other smaller ears that stick out in front.
She was born with the rare malformation that could be attributed to the mutation of a recessive gene she inherited from her parents.

The four-month-old kitten was adopted in Turkey by a woman, Canis Dosemeci, who decided to open the doors of her home and her heart to her. After welcoming her into her home, Midas’ owner opened an Instagram account for her where she shares her adventures.
The cat’s social network already has more than 54.1 followers who are captivated with the feline and her furry companions, the intention of her owner is to raise awareness about adoption.
She hopes that those who want to have a pet will adopt one of the abandoned ones instead of buying.

In addition, she insists that no one should discriminate against a homeless animal because of its age, appearance or condition, they all deserve the same love and protection.
Midas shares his home with another cat and two dogs, since their first meeting they have created a beautiful friendship.

The Russian Blue kitty enjoys playing, sleeping and sharing with the family’s dogs, Suzy, 12 years old and Zeyno, 14 years old.
About her past, it was learned that her mother, a stray cat, gave birth to Midas and six other kittens in the garden of a friend of Canis, the woman who adopted her. They also looked for a home for Midas’ siblings.

The feline’s second pair of ears does not affect her hearing, which fortunately is normal. Canis took her to the vet and after medical checks, they confirmed that Midas can hear without any difficulty.
It is sad, but many dogs and cats that were born with a special condition, just like Midas, are the ones that remain for a long time in shelters waiting for the opportunity to have a home.

Unfortunately, some of them even have the worst outcome because they can’t find anyone willing to take them in.
They are simply put aside because of their physical appearance, because they fear that it will be too difficult to raise them because of their special needs or even because of their breed or age.
The truth is that we must learn to love as animals do: unconditionally. It is unfair that at the moment of adoption they are not seen with the eyes of the heart, adopting a pet is an act of love in which superficial aspects should not interfere.

All animals deserve to be happy and will thank those who give them love and protection until their last breath.

Midas was very lucky and through her story, we hope that many little animals with similar conditions will stop being rejected for being “different”.
