Sometimes things are not what they seem. And Tyler Wilson will remember that for the rest of his life since he saw a supposedly “lost” dog.

He lives in Kentucky, USA, where he stopped to put gas in his car. Immediately, he noticed the presence of a beautiful yellow Labrador retriever. But to tell the truth, it was not the first time he had seen him. On previous occasions he had already seen it hanging around the place.

He was really worried about the animal, and his head began to spin: Where was his family? Would he be all right? What could he do to help?

The man wanted to help the Labrador retriever that seemed lost.

About the times he had seen it before, Tyler said:

“I had seen the dog a couple of weeks before in that area. So when he came up to me at the gas station and sat down next to me, I said, ‘This dog has been lost from his family for a while.'”

So he didn’t hesitate to approach, but then he got the surprise of his life. Of course he looked for some identification on the sweet puppy and there, hanging from his collar, was a silver tag.

He wanted to examine it to see if he could get any information.

“This might help! This will make him find his family!” he said to himself, at that exciting moment.

He looked forward to discovering the dog’s name, and hopefully his owner’s phone number to take him home. But what he discovered chilled him to the bone….

“My name is Dew, I’m not lost, I like to roam, tell me to go home,” is what the inscription said.

Tyler was really puzzled, but he decided to ignore the plaque, nor what his owners wanted for the dog, at least right away.

And since Dew was the most loving and sociable little dog he had ever met, he wanted to give him some attention, affection and treats instead.

Dew jumped on social media, which exploded with his story, so he is now a local celebrity for his solo walks.

Most people in town know Dew. He spends much of his days strolling around, greeting people. Then, when he’s ready, of course, he goes back to his huge farm where he lives with his loving family.

He’s the smartest and best friend of all

Dew has always had an adventurous spirit. No matter how hard the family tried to restrain their dog, he would find a way to escape. However, when he did escape, Dew always returned home.

His family adapted to Dew’s personality, knowing that he is very intelligent, always aware of his surroundings and always returns home (safely).

He lives with his family on a farm, they are already used to his adventures and even put a GPS on him to make sure he is okay.

“Dew loves to make new friends. Thanks to his GPS we always know where he is and that reassures us. Around here there is no danger, everyone loves him. And he just likes to spread the love,” his owners recounted.

They understood that he likes to go for walks and meet new friends, so they let him be happy.

Tyler will now be one of his great friends because he has grown very fond of him. Dew allowed her to pet and cuddle him, and now she says she will visit him often at home to share with him… (if she can find him at home, of course).

Dew’s family admits that their travels are not the safest, but they have accepted their dog’s wandering habit. They are very grateful that Dew knows people who make sure he’s okay, even giving him a drink of water and a loving pat on the head.

The story of our adventurous friend Dew is one of the sweetest we’ve ever heard. Let’s fill the world with love, just like this cute little dog does.
