A mother cat decided to introduce her babies to her old friend, a stray dog. She was proud and trusted him like no one else.

You’ve probably heard the expression “fighting like cats and dogs” countless times. But in reality, canines and felines can become very good friends!

At first the dog came over to greet mama cat, never imagining what was in store for him

When the dog goes to visit her old friend, she is not alone. She brings her kittens along so she can “introduce” them to the dog, and what happens next will melt your heart, just as it has for hundreds of others on the Internet.

At first, and if we hadn’t warned you about how tender the scene below would be, you might have felt a little uneasy.

It’s about a mother and a street dog, and even though she is accompanied by her little ones. However, the dog wastes no time in seeing her kitty friend and soon wags his tail excitedly.

Unfortunately we don’t have much information about these little animals who, unfortunately, have spent their entire lives roaming the streets of Russia. The cat has never known a home, but at least she has a good dog friend with whom to share the joy of her kittens.

Possibly, she does this to make sure that her kittens will be safe, and the truth is that the dog wastes no time in sympathizing with the little ones. His tenderness immediately overwhelms us.

A little one I didn’t know comes to greet mom’s friend.

One of the kittens approaches and seems to interrupt the dog’s encounter with mama cat. Understandably, the dog seems intrigued by the little guy. Then mom paws her furry friend, perhaps as a sign of affection, or perhaps to advise her to be gentle with her kitten.

A moment later, mama cat feels comfortable enough to walk away and leave the kitten with her canine companion. Then, another baby comes over and wants to have some fun too!

The cat must have really loved the dog and trusted him. She knew that dog wouldn’t hurt them and would be kind. It doesn’t take a dog or cat expert to recognize a good friendship at a glance, don’t you think?

The kittens kick so sweetly at the dog, seeming comfortable despite being near a “big” animal. When the dog gently kicks back, it’s almost as if he is participating in a game with those little kittens.

The dog seems to be gentle with the little ones, almost as if he knows they are his friend’s babies. As for the mama cat? She rests nearby without seeming the least bit concerned – she was probably grateful to her friend for allowing her to rest!
