Puppy comes every day to stop traffic to help children cross the street

There are dogs that dedicate their entire lives to helping others, one of them is the beautiful Kupata.

This little white furry dog with black spots lives on the streets and has quickly won the affection of everyone in the area for his work in helping children to cross the street.

The little dog lives in the city of Batumi, Georgia.

Kupata has shown a great ability to sneak into the middle of avenues and stop traffic. But this is all for a purpose.

Whenever Kupata sees children about to cross, he gets a little worried and steps in front of them to make sure nothing bad happens to them.

“Whenever there are children on the street, he comes toward them at full speed to help them cross safely,” said a Batumi resident.

He even starts barking at cars to force them to slow down. Once the little ones reach the other side, the sweet little dog waits for a few seconds until he loses sight of them and then returns to the cute little house they made for him.

When he was just a puppy, Kupata knocked on Nona Zakareishvili’s door and started asking for cuddles.

Since then, she gave him a rug to protect him from the cold and they became inseparable. The cunning and noble little dog grew up and stole the hearts of all the neighbors.

At the beginning, everyone called him by different names, but the name that prevailed the most was the one given to him by the local butcher. Kupata means “sausage” in the Georgian language.

They also became great friends and he is the one who makes sure the loyal Kupata is never short of food.

“I named her that because she’s always chubby, happy and well cared for,” said the butcher.

His love for children made him become a celebrity on the networks and the Department of Tourism decided to honor him with a nice gesture.

They made him a beautiful doghouse where he is much safer.

There he has his food bowls and a shelter to spend the nights. After all, he is an exemplary and loving little dog.

“We did this to thank him for his protective work.” said a Department of Tourism spokesperson.”

And if that wasn’t enough sweet Kupata has received the great honor of having his own star on the local Walk of Fame in recognition of his work caring for the children of his city.

Kupata’s star status is only growing. Recently a huge mural was painted on a building in Batumi.

The mural shows the sweet little dog sporting a shiny crown and looking down on everyone with his sweet eyes full of love.

“Kupata is not only famous in our country, but also all over the world. Since we released the video, many tourists have come to meet Kupata and take pictures with him,” said a spokesman for the Department of Tourism.

Kupata now has his own social networks and has already amassed more than 30,000 followers who support him in his duties as a protector of the children of his city.

It is a joy to know that such a special dog has the support and love of so many people.
