A little dog that was nothing more than a tangle of knots struggling to survive on a roof, has achieved the most impressive transformation that touches the soul.

In our daily lives we may come across more than one helpless little soul in search of help, because the problem of animal abandonment in many countries is evident.

But, how different the panorama would be if each person would dare to leave their comfort zone to support a being in need.

They can only count on us to help them get ahead.

Amazing changes could be witnessed if instead of indifference, abandoned animals would receive help, as has happened in the case of this stray dog that after years of living in abandonment has seen a light of hope again.

The dog’s name is Diana and she is the protagonist of a story worthy of any princess dog.

When this poodle crossed the path of the one who is now her angel, she was turned into a real stock.

No one could have imagined the beauty that lay beneath her thick, matted fur.

Diana’s appearance was only a reflection of all the time she spent living in complete neglect, but she still kept her big heart intact.

Diana lived on the sidewalk of an unfinished construction site in Quito, Ecuador.

The neighbors in the area did not know when she had begun to occupy that place, but they were accustomed to her presence in that community.

Some good Samaritans would throw her leftover food from time to time, but the little girl was quite skittish and didn’t tend to get too close to people.

Her matted appearance did not allow her beauty to be distinguished.

In the place where this little dog used to be there was a little wooden house, so it is intuited that at some point Diana belonged to someone who decided to leave her in that place as an economic alarm system.

Dogs are living beings and not security alarms.

Fortunately, a kind-hearted man was alerted to the case and decided to change the fate of this little dog. He was the rescuer Luis Bejarano, a volunteer since 2005 of the Animal Protection Foundation of Ecuador (PAE).

An expert in dealing with this type of situation, Bejarano knew how to quickly gain Diana’s trust and once he was able to get her out of the place, he decided to feed her and take her to the foundation’s medical center.

A good bath and a check-up were urgently needed for this little dog.

The dog was subjected to routine examinations to check her health and, despite the neglect she was in, she did not show any serious condition.

What most shocked the rescuer in this case was what he discovered after giving her her first bath in a long time.

No one could have noticed all the beauty that lay beneath the tangle of hair.

Diana’s transformation was truly amazing and Luchito, as he is known among his friends, took it upon himself to record it and upload it to his TikTok account.

The help this furry girl received would not have been possible without the intervention of the neighbor who decided to report the case, it was thanks to this that Bejarano was able to find her.

“We receive calls, emails, WhatsApp messages and through our networks. People report rescues and complaints to us almost daily, but we give priority to the animals that are in danger such as run over, injured, sick, mistreated, abandoned puppies, pregnant females”, commented the rescuer.

Diana is a brave and very playful girl, so at the shelter they hope that soon she will be completely ready to write a new story.

While this happens, Fundación Protección Animal Ecuador is in charge of her care and together with Bejarano they hope to find a loving and responsible family or person who will dare to give her the protection and care she deserves.
