A Labrador mix puppy has taken it upon himself to get his owner’s undivided attention in the funniest way possible. He was rescued by the Friends of the Escambia County Animal Shelter, who had him neutered and found him a new home.
For Lori Eddins, our furry protagonist’s mother, her puppy is her best companion, not only showing her love for him, but she has found a way to welcome him every time he comes home.
A little dog who loves to give funny gifts.

Levi is a charming little dog who learned that you should never welcome the one you love so much with empty paws. This crafty little furry dog gets so excited every time his mom comes home from work that he usually gives her a gift to show her his love.
Every time he hears her arrive he runs out the front door and puts his front paws on the wall while carrying the gift in his mouth.
“Levi always greets me at the door. Then, if he doesn’t have one yet, he runs to ‘get a treat,'” Lori noted.
This sweet furry little guy came into his new favorite person’s life when he was about six weeks old.

For Lori, this new puppy routine began almost a year ago when she found him with a box of screws in his mouth.
“The first present he brought me was a half-chewed open box of screws. So I took him to the vet for x-rays,” Lori said.

Fortunately, the adorable little dog had not eaten anything from that box, his health condition was perfect, however, his mother’s reaction to the “gift” motivated Levi to continue giving him strange gifts. In this regard, Lori noted:
“I think when she had that box of screws in her mouth and I asked her and baby-talked her to put it down she thought we were having fun. I also remember him picking up random papers when he was in my vehicle, and I would say ‘Oh thank you! ‘ and pet him, so maybe he learned in those moments.”

It’s very satisfying for Lori to come home and see her little dog’s excitement about giving her a new gift. Apparently, this adorable ball of fur knows when his mother has had a hard day at work and goes out of his way to cheer her up.
There are no limits when it comes to gift giving, anything goes for Levi who just wants to make the person he loves the most feel special.
“He has brought everything from toys, to bones and blankets, clumps of grass, pieces of cardboard or paper (I call them cards) and wood from gardening. My favorite was when he found out where I was cleaning the bouquet and brought me flowers. If he meets me at the door with an empty mouth, I let him carry my keys to the door and he’s so proud,” Lori said.

Of course not all gifts are endearing to Lori, one day he brought her horse manure, he also took one of the chickens from her property. While the chickens don’t enjoy being the gift they end up very scared and run into the pen.
Anything goes for this little dog who just wants to make her owner happy.

Levi says that Lori does this as a thank you, for her, it is a great blessing to have such an eloquent and loving puppy. She finally commented:
“I give her big hugs and thank her like she brought me the winning ticket. Most of the stuff I give back to him, some of it ends up in the trash, I kept the flowers!”.

There is nothing more adorable than a little dog’s way of thanking and loving. With their witticisms they always leave big footprints in the heart of those who love them madly.
Undoubtedly, puppies are man’s best and most faithful friends. These little animals bring us happiness and joy even on the worst days and give us unique moments of fun that we could not share with anyone else.
