There is nothing sadder and more devastating than to see an innocent little dog struggling to beat the cancer that is trying to take its life.
Sadly, many dog breeders are dedicated to take all the economic advantage of the little furry dogs, without taking into account the serious effects on their health and their final destiny.
This was the sad situation in which a Siberian Husky named Max was born. When he was a couple of weeks old, they decided they wanted to get rid of him without even giving him a chance.
Max lives in the Mexican city of Cuautla de Morelos.

The poor guy was born with a series of tumors all over his body. He would require many medical treatments and for many this just translates to an unsaleable dog.
Fortunately, Max came into the life of someone who gave him all his love. As soon as a 24-year-old Yoselin Macias heard about Max’s plight, she decided to give him a new chance.
Yoselin works as a pet stylist.

Indeed, the little guy needed a lot of consultations and treatments, but he was also the most loving dog in the world.
Such a kind and gentle doggy, who had suffered so much in life, only deserved a second chance. But, Yoselin didn’t have the necessary funds. However, none of that stopped her.

So she took on the task of selling cupcakes in the plazas in order to raise all the money she needed. She would do it every day without fail, until she had enough to be able to transform the life of her beloved Max.

Yoselin would do anything to save her dog’s life.

People from all over the world were touched by her story. The beautiful furry dog posed with a sign to explain his situation and it went completely viral.
They were very delicate days and the veterinarians worked very hard to give him the best possible treatment.

On one of the posters you could read the most touching message:
“I’m Max. I was thrown out of a kennel because I’m sick. I have all the glands in my body swollen (neck, hands, paws, stomach, head, everything).”
The little dog posed with a heartbreaking sign to touch someone’s heart.

Finally, they gathered what they needed for a biopsy and realized it was a situation without much hope.
Still, they were willing to fight to the end. But, in February, the beautiful and unique warrior lost the battle, and crossed the rainbow bridge.

About it, his owner wrote, devastated:
“My dear Max, I was not granted to see you play and run as I wanted so much. I will miss you so much.
Max deserved to run, play, explore… But his time in a cruel kennel left him with irreversible consequences.

Yoselin is heartbroken but her greatest consolation is that she was able to provide him with a loving home and family during his last weeks of life.
He spent his last night looking at his owner with lots of love and lay by her side peacefully. He was a very brave little dog who gave his best.
“It is very hard news but I am comforted that Max knew true love,” added his owner.

We join Yoselin in these painful moments. She was able to be with Max for a very short time, but she gave him the best days of his life. It is truly admirable and her story is an example for all of us to follow.
May Max’s story serve as a reminder of his memory and legacy. At the same time, may it serve as a reminder to condemn irresponsible breeders who look at puppies only for money without the slightest concern for their health and life.
