Every puppy deserves to be showered with cuddles and unconditional love. They are defenseless, vulnerable and tender beings. They are true babies who explore the world with extreme curiosity and are prone to mischief because of their innocence.

The puppy was abandoned by his family for allegedly eating a farm animal.

Osito is just a baby who was left to fend for himself by his family because, they claim, he devoured a chicken from their farm.

Although that accusation against the little animal was never confirmed, what was a fact is that they completely abandoned the cub, regardless of his young age.

Felicia took the puppy in and hoped that his arrival at the shelter would be well received by the other dogs.

Fortunately for this cute beige baby, it didn’t take long for animal activist Felicia Quispe Arana, who runs the Colitas sin Techo shelter for homeless puppies in Cusco, Peru, to appear in his life.

The woman was convinced she had to help the little guy, although it was a bit risky considering he would be the only puppy at the shelter and could probably be intimidated by so many adult furries.

“There are no puppies in our shelter. All the dogs are big and most of them are adults. I didn’t know how they would react to Osito when they met him,” the woman recounted.

Fearful, Felicia showed up at the shelter with Osito. Immediately, the shelter’s resident dogs came over to observe and sniff the little furry fellow. Osito was intimidated and nervous, as was the good human who rescued him.

To contain his nervousness, Osito simply sat down, pressing his paws firmly on the ground to avoid falling, and let the adult dogs sniff him for as long as they decided was enough.

After many sniffs, Osito apparently got the approval of the other dogs and was able to stand up, to walk confidently all over the place and meet those who would become his new friends and faithful protectors.

His great gentleness made it easy for him to make friends with everyone in the place. In addition, his story did not take long to go viral on social networks, a space in which he moved thousands of Internet users who could not believe his sad past and were happy for the warm welcome of his canine companions.

“What a nice welcome. That’s how we humans should act with each other,” commented one netizen.

Osito felt calm and comfortable at the shelter, as he found in the woman who took him in a loving human mother who was willing to give everything to see him happy. Besides, in a very short time, life would give him a big surprise.

Without expecting it, Osito conquered with his personality a family that wanted to go home with him. He found his forever home.

Osito’s past may not be the best, but his life took a big turn after he was rescued. Luck started to be on his side and it took him very little time to find that loving family he always deserved.

“We were able to find a person who ended up adopting him. Now he has a family and I hope he has a long and happy life,” said Felicia.

He will finally have a happy life

This little guy had to say goodbye very soon to his friends at the shelter. They all loved and cared for him like the best big brothers you can have; that’s why both Osito and Felicia wish from the bottom of their hearts that the adult dogs at the shelter will also find a home very soon.
