A puppy was only days away from being euthanized when a woman saw her picture online and decided to intervene to save her. Chelsea Elizabeth Cossairt was responsible for giving the furry girl a new chance when all was thought to be lost.
She had been found weeks earlier by animal control wandering the streets of Southern California.
Doggie achieves incredible transformation after meeting true love.

She was completely disoriented, malnourished, and immersed in sadness and desolation. She had so many health problems that her rescuers opted to transfer her to death row and put her to sleep.
Her photo had been shared online, but when Cossairt saw it he knew immediately that he had to do something, he sent a request and soon after received a call that ended up changing not only his life, but that of the dog, who was named Clementine. Cossairt commented on the matter:
“The person from Ginger’s Pet Rescue was dumbfounded and in tears because we were interested in her. She told us that of the hundreds of applications they had received for dogs in the last few weeks, none had been for Clementine.”

Her first caregiver explained that the puppy’s health condition was quite delicate, she had a long road to recovery but that her fate was completely uncertain. Still, Cossairt was willing to adopt her and help her heal her physical, but mostly emotional wounds.
The helpless little dog had succumbed to lethargic conditioning, seemingly imprisoned in her own world, crestfallen, refusing to look up at her rescuers.

When Cossairt met her, it became clear to him that she had never before received a gesture of love. On this he commented:
“Clementine was absolutely terrified of people and would not look anyone in the eye. She trembled all the time, hid behind furniture and sat facing the wall. Her eyes were defeated and empty. She would never look us in the face and would bow her head every time we walked toward or near her.”

Fortunately, Clementine trusted other puppies so when she arrived at the new home she approached them and gradually came out of her shell. Moose and Maple, other rescued furries became her great support. They seemed to inject him with small doses of energy and that sad little dog was becoming a thing of the past.
It was then that Cossairt knew that the puppy could do well, it was just a matter of time, patience and love.
“She would seek comfort in being near them, she would walk with Moose and Maple as if they were a pack around the house or yard.”

For months, Clementine faced a long recovery process, constant visits to the vet, received special treatment for infections and allergies, also attended therapy. She seemed to recognize that everything was getting better and that she was in the best hands, finally, she dared to look her adoptive parents in the eyes.
After seven long months, she looks lovingly at her human, she is now an adorable ball of fur that loves to receive cuddles and conquers everyone with her sweet gaze.
“She loves to look deep into our eyes while we pet her, she is very attentive when we talk to her. She is still wary of new people and sometimes even gets scared of us if we move too fast or if we approach from behind, but she has made great strides,” said Cossairt.

This beautiful little dog has made an incredible transformation, she has become a curious and happy little furry girl, it’s as if she is experiencing all those stages she didn’t have when she was a puppy. She feels safe but above all, loved. Finally, her foster mom commented:
“She is such a sweet and gentle girl. We could tell very early on that she just wants to love and be loved. She is loyal and protective of us, and follows us everywhere.”

Only true love can transform the hardest heart. We love knowing that this adorable ball of fur enjoys a real family and spends her days being loved.
