A supermarket caretaker in the UK has gone viral after a picture reminding us that we can always do something to help puppies, even if it means giving up our own umbrella.

When the puppy arrived it hadn’t started raining, so his owners couldn’t have suspected that he would need the watchman’s help.

The touching scene was captured by Mel Gracie, a young woman who was passing by and decided to stop to take a picture.

She found the moment so special that she decided to share it on the networks to congratulate the vigilante for his wonderful heart.

“Bravo to the Morrisons caretaker who made sure to keep this little dog dry,” Mel celebrated in the publication was shared more than 20 thousand times.

Morrisons is a supermarket chain that is located throughout the UK. Pets are not allowed to enter their premises but they have the necessary for owners to simply leave them leashed in the parking lot.

The scene took place at a branch of Morrisons in Glasgow, Scotland.

Fortunately, the attendant saw that the puppy was getting wet. He didn’t hesitate for a second and went to get his umbrella and stood next to him to protect him.

“Rainy days are coming so we have handed out umbrellas to our employees and customers so that everyone – even the little dogs – can stay dry,” said a Morrisons spokesperson.

For several minutes, the watchman stood there taking all the drops himself but making sure the friendly Golden didn’t have to be exposed to the water. It is truly a beautiful gesture of love that few are capable of.

“You never know what doggies think about the rain,” joked the watchman as he cared for the Golden.

Mel’s post quickly went viral and thanks to the magic of the Internet they were able to identify the watchman.

“I just found out that the watchman’s name is Ethan Dearman. Thank you so much for making so many people happy today,” Mel wrote.

Ethan responded to the post and thanked everyone for the loving comments, he explained that he wished he could have done more for the little dog but didn’t have permission to take him out of there.

“I’m not allowed to move someone else’s dog, so I figured the best thing I could do was to cover the little dog with my umbrella,” the watchman said.

The dedicated Morrison’s employee decided to take care of the little dog without a second thought and never imagined that the matter would be so commented on the networks.

“I knew many people were touched by the gesture of the umbrella, but I never thought it would receive thousands of comments on the Internet,” said Ethan.

When Mel’s post reached more than 150,000 likes, it was easy to find the dog’s owner, who turned out to be named Freddie. David Cherry was quick to thank the vigilant watcher.

David Cherry, thanked Ethan from the bottom of his heart for what happened and took to the networks to reveal that it is not the first time that the watchman treats his entire family with love.

“Thank you to watchman Ethan Dearman for putting his umbrella over Freddie when it started raining. Ethan has always been very kind to my family and Freddie,” wrote David, the puppy’s owner.

There is no doubt that Ethan has become a wonderful example for all of us to follow when we see a puppy in need of help.
