Paige Knudtson grew up with a Boxer puppy who became her best friend for many years. As soon as she found out she was pregnant, she decided to adopt a similar dog so she could give her son the wonderful experience of having a doggy sibling.

When it was time to meet the baby, Brutus behaved like the sweetest dog.

That’s how beautiful Brutus came into their lives. Some families prefer not to have pets when there are babies in the house, but Paige knew that a puppy would only bring benefits and joy to little Finn.

Paige and her family live in the city of Richmond in Virginia, USA.

When she was 20 weeks pregnant, Paige received the news that baby Finn had serious heart problems, and once he was born the little boy had to be rushed to the operating room for surgery.

Finn is Paige’s fourth baby.

Finn finally came home at 7 weeks old. He was doing much better but still had to receive a lot of care to recover, the baby met his doggy brother and the connection was instantaneous.

Thanks to the love of Brutus and his entire family, it didn’t take long for little Finn to recover. The sweet little dog seemed to understand that the little guy needed a lot of love and immediately began spending every moment of the day by his side.

“Since the day they met they have not been separated. They take naps cuddling and if Brutus is in another room he knocks on the door so he can come in and be near Finn,” Paige explained.

“Brutus loves attention and loves to snuggle with people,” Paige said.

As the months have passed, this cute friendship has only grown. Finn and Brutus’ favorite activity is napping together, sometimes the little dog would climb up to the baby’s bed and perch there very carefully.

Now, Finn has a big boy bed but prefers to go wherever his furry friend is to perch on it. Since Finn’s arrival, Brutus decided that he would be his new favorite human in the family. Brutus loves to protect Finn.

Finn was 23 weeks old when the video was filmed.

Recently, Paige managed to catch on security cameras a moment that left everyone touched. At first, Finn was sleeping in his bed as anyone would expect.

“Finn stays next to him or just rests his head on his chest,” Paige explained.

Brutus was just a couple of inches away in his doggie bed. Suddenly, the little guy woke up and grabbed his blanket very determined to go and join his faithful furry friend.

“Brutus is like a huge teddy bear.”, said Paige.

He took a couple of minutes to find the most comfortable position and even stopped for a drink of water in his bottle. The little dog has all the patience and love in the world for her, having no problem becoming the cuddly baby’s pillow.

“It doesn’t matter if it’s in Brutus’ bed or Finn’s bed, the two of them will always sleep together,” Paige assures.

As expected, the beautiful video went viral in a matter of hours. There is no doubt that Paige made the right decision in adopting Brutus to give her baby a companion. This beautiful pair has endless adventures ahead of them.
