The shock and curiosity seized many of the residents of the Las Nieves neighborhood of the city of Barranquilla, since Sunday morning, because in a house on Carrera 17B with Calle 18 a cat was born with two heads, four eyes, three mouths and two noses.

According to Rubén Rodríguez, on Saturday night he saw that the cat that he had adopted a little less than a month ago was about to give birth. The feline, whom he called ‘Aparecida’, settled down and gave birth to two black kittens. Everything seemed to be normal and there she seemed to have finished labor.

However, the next morning the surprise they got was great when they realized that the cat had given birth to another cub, but that this one was strange, because its head was bigger than the others, so much so that I couldn’t hold it up.

Then, upon reviewing it in detail, they realized that it was a phenomenon. A Siamese cat, not by breed but by condition, since he had two heads, four eyes, two noses and three mouths, which caused a stir in the family.

The rumor quickly spread around the block and several neighbors wanted to observe the animal to be sure that the story their children told them was true. Rubén himself took on the task of holding the cat in his hands and showing it to everyone who wanted to see it.

The most impacted were the children of the sector, who never thought to see such an error of nature. The residents of the block are also amazed that the animal is still alive, since it has not been able to breastfeed.

“We have to give him milk so he can eat something because he can’t suck from his mother. He is alive because of that, but we don’t think he will last a long time,” said Rodríguez, who assures that the cat takes care of him the same as the rest of the litter.

Some neighbors who came to see the strange animal said they had never seen anything like it and that it generates curiosity and fear in them. “What if that cat grows huge and is a danger to everyone? You never know, what I would do is take it to a vet to be put down, because that little animal is going to suffer a lot with two heads anyway,” said a motorcycle taxi driver who passed by.

Due to the birth of the animal, the residents of the block have not stopped joking. Some said that the owner can put on a circus and until what happened was that the kitten was conceived by two parents.

They even claimed that the good thing about the animal is that it will be able to catch three mice at the same time, one with each mouth. The bad thing is that it will not be able to reproduce because the cats will not like it because it is ugly.
