A woman couldn’t pass by when an asymmetrical-faced kitten in a shelter wouldn’t stop staring at her.

No kind-hearted human would be able to resist if a little animal keeps staring at her. But even if that little creature is of special condition.

Cats are intelligent and independent animals, for this reason, they will never force themselves to create a bond or live with you if they don’t feel comfortable. That is why we often hear that it is the cats who choose us and not us who choose them.

In spite of being willing to offer them a home, most of the times they are the ones who approach their adopters and end up conquering their hearts.

The kitten has a condition, but it does not limit her to do activities like any other cat.

This is how a kind-hearted woman found her perfect companion after approaching an animal shelter in the city of Richmond, Virginia.

Lauren Thomson wanted to adopt a furry kitten, but after greeting several of them, she didn’t find what she was looking for. Lauren had adopted before and knew that when she was in front of the right one, she felt a special connection. She commented:

“The last cat I had, he picked me out by patting me on the shoulder while looking at another cat, I was looking for another couple like that.”

After wandering around the shelter for several minutes, she suddenly felt she was being watched by a small kitten looking at her from a distance.

She decided to return the gaze and discovered a beautiful tabby cat with an asymmetrical face and her tongue sticking out. From then on, Lauren knew she was her ideal companion.

“I knew she was my girl.”

A kind-hearted woman gave her the opportunity she so desperately wanted.

It was Piddlesticks or Piddles, a kitten who arrived at the shelter with a broken jaw, pregnant and signs of unfair treatment.

Fortunately, the rescue center looked out for her well-being and that of all her kittens. Piddles underwent emergency surgery and was left with a physical deformity on her face, but she was happy again.

She is now 9 years old.

The shelter was able to find permanent homes for all her pups, but Piddles had been waiting at the shelter for more than 9 months for a new chance.

Fortunately, everything changed for her when she came to the attention of Lauren, who decided to adopt her regardless of her age and physical condition. In this regard Piddles’ new mother said:

“On her first day at home, I could tell she was confused, but we bonded quickly, she’s been by my side ever since.”

This adorable ball of fur loves to snuggle on her mom’s lap and get lots of cuddles on her belly. Although she is an elderly kitty, she still has plenty of energy, enjoys getting into mischief and spending her time next to the person she loves the most.

“Since I adopted her, she has had most of her teeth removed, but she is a happy little girl and leads a normal life,” Lauren added.

She gives the impression that she is constantly winking.

Piddles’ asymmetrical face makes her the cutest kitten in the world, her mother decided to share a video on Tiktok and it didn’t take long for millions of internet users to melt in love with her asymmetrical perfection.

This little kitten has a sweet personality, has become the joy of those around her and enjoys getting all the attention. Lauren said:

“She is the sweetest girl in the world and I can’t imagine my life without her.”

Although her past was very scarred, she now enjoys a present full of love where she is the darling of the house. Her story shows us that no matter what conditions or limitations a furry animal may have, they all deserve to be loved for the rest of their lives.
