Without blankets and in the middle of his own excrement, lived a poor little dog before he was rescued.
His name is Nox and at only 3 years old he had already known how hard life can be without the protection of a truly responsible owner or a little plate of food a day.
This little creature learned to fend for herself in the face of her owner’s negligence.
The 30 Millions d’Amis Foundation removed Nox from the “care” of his former human caretaker after it was shown the terrible conditions in which the woman kept him.

His sad little face was the worst.
The furry dog was living in a makeshift shelter on the outskirts of a residence in Nuncq-Hautecôte (France).
In the days prior to the rescue, the thermometer reached -10 degrees Celsius in that town, and it was evident that Nox was enduring the harsh weather all that time.
The little dog was struggling to curl up on his own in an attempt to warm up.His food dishes were empty, his niche punctured and about to collapse, while his own feces invaded the place.

The rescuers would like this crude image of the creature and the state in which it was found to touch the heart of its former owner, so that she realizes what she achieved with her wickedness, negligence and lack of love.
When will we understand that puppies are sentient creatures, suffering from cold, hunger and loneliness?
“He was sticky and smelled very bad. No doubt he spent his time outdoors. He was full of fleas, missing hairs on his back. Not to mention the scabs…there were a lot of them! He was living in catastrophic conditions,” described Flore, a researcher with the 30 Millions d’Amis Foundation.
This sweet creature did not deserve to be relegated to such a cruel life in the outdoors.

At the sudden inspection by foundation volunteers and a supervisor from the Ministry of the Environment, Nox’s former owner was intimidated and claimed she did not have enough money to keep him.
The woman readily agreed to walk away from the puppy and give custody of him to these people, as long as they could give Nox a better life.
Getting rid of that evil woman was the best thing that could have happened to the furry dog.

There are no excuses when it comes to preserving life and responsible dog ownership! It’s not a matter of poverty, it’s a matter of love.
At first, poor Nox was frightened by the presence of strangers.
“The living conditions were not respected at all. Mud was mixed with excrement. When we put the leash on him, he peed on it. He must not have been used to being out there,” lamented Flore.
Despite the shyness he showed at first, the rehabilitation of this canine has been almost immediate.

Nox proved to be a very playful dog and with his charms he won over a family who decided to adopt him. No doubt this will be a new beginning for him and now he is ready to leave his past and all that he suffered behind.
We would like his story to reach all corners of the world to make visible the hundreds of cases of dogs abandoned to their fate in the worst possible way, with the sole purpose of cornering them to certain death. Enough of so much evil and unlove!
Dogs are not objects, take care of them and love them as you would like them to do with you. We can all do our part in building a world of more love, compassion and consideration for the most vulnerable animals.
