We will never tire of denouncing and raising our voices against acts of injustice and mistreatment of dogs. Especially when they are so neglected that their mere skeletal appearance and on the verge of starvation, call for immediate help and intervention.

There are inhuman people who are capable of mistreating animals, but there are also those who understand that they are living beings that need to be cared for and respected as such.

This was experienced firsthand by a group of dogs whose so-called owner left them to their fate, in such a physical condition that it was very sad just to see them.

Fifteen Great Dane dogs that should have been majestic became nothing more than skin and bones.

In Pathum Thani, about 40 kilometers from Bangkok in Thailand, the owner of fifteen Great Dane dogs left them alone without any care or attention, he had been feeding them very poorly until he stopped feeding them completely.

The animals were extremely thin, they had lost so much weight that their bones were clearly protruding through the skin attached to their bone structure.

Just seeing the dogs in such extreme languor is very painful.

Watchdog Thailand volunteers were alerted and immediately went to the site of the farm, the sight they found was truly depressing.

Just by taking them in their arms they could feel with their hands each bone sticking out.

The dogs were locked in cages and all were suffering from severe malnutrition. With much dedication and diligence they gave water and food to the dogs to try to get them back on their feet.

Even feeding them in any way could be dangerous for their lives because their stomachs were not used to receiving food.

Relatives of the owner live near the farm, and they told the organization that this place has been used as a kennel for a long time, but was closed because the owner could not support it economically, and decided to leave the helpless dogs totally abandoned.

We will never be able to understand why so much evil and negligence against the most innocent ones.

Nui, the 50-year-old woman who worked as a housekeeper, said that a relative of the dog breeder asked her to take care of the place, but she, alarmed by the situation the Great Danes were in, was forced to inform the animal welfare institution about what was happening.

Fortunately, something could still be done to save them from death.

It was also learned that as a result of neglect and carelessness, a female dog and her two puppies died inside a cage.

Their skeletons at sight produced a wave of indignation and impotence in the social networks.

Fortunately, the animals were finally being cared for as they always deserved. But, the best was yet to come….

When King Maha Vajiralongkorn, known as Rama X, heard about the case, he ordered his family to adopt them and finance their recovery.

A true king who first and foremost leads by example.

“We have received a royal order from His Majesty the King. His Royal Highness has ordered a delegation to adopt out the dogs to the Animal Welfare Division,” said a spokesperson for Watchdog Thailand.

The lucky furries who suffered so much could not believe that none other than a king would be their new human daddy.

Plus, best of all, the king assured that the heartless one will face animal cruelty charges.

What an excellent ending after their terrifying past, their pain will be behind them, and in their new home they can be happy as they deserve to be.

Remember that animals are creatures that accompany you and give sincere and unconditional love. They do not deserve such treatment.
