Every little dog who has gone through mistreatment and sad experiences dreams of the happy moment of being loved and having a dignified life. This is what a canine named Asher waited for a long time.

Rescued puppy thanks with hugs for having been freed from the chains that bound him.

There is nothing that love cannot heal and Asher experienced this firsthand, after going through many difficult moments that even led him to be at great risk, feeling completely sad and helpless.

Asher was rescued by members of Dogs Mereid Better of Smithfield, Virginia.

He was found in a poor condition, restrained with a lacerating chain that he had been carrying for weeks.

He was rescued at 2 years of age

But, the little dog’s life quickly changed. The association took it upon itself to bring justice for the furry boy, sending the evil man who failed to care for little Asher before the law and giving him a second chance to heal physically and emotionally, as well as find a real home.

Asher underwent surgery in order to heal his neck. But, despite everything, nothing made the little boy hold a grudge or try to distance himself from those around him, on the contrary, from the very first moment in the association he became friends with everyone.

The canine did not stop playing, wagging his tail and kissing everyone at Dogs Mereid Better, from his doggy companions to the workers of the place. And the fact is that, even though he is a large dog, he behaves like a baby who doesn’t stop giving love.

Asher’s love has no limits. That is what was evidenced in a beautiful viral video where the little dog is seen kissing a worker, while she communicates by phone with the director of the association.

His transformation was amazing

In a matter of weeks, Asher’s condition improved, captivating everyone who knew his story. It was for this reason that the association put all its efforts into finding him the best of homes, to reward him for all he experienced in his short life.

“Asher is smart, funny, loving, dog-loving, people-loving. He loves everything. Please share, let’s take him home! He’s ready for adoption!” the association posted on its social networks.

Fortunately, in less than a month of searching, the association found the ideal home for their favorite resident. He would live with a loving family, in a huge house where he could run wild everywhere.

Asher immediately adapted to his new family, especially since he is accompanied by a little brother named Benji who has already become his best friend; he is also the commander of an army of dozens of chicks and can eat any juicy tomatoes he wants.

“His new brother is Benji and they are best friends. He has 17 acres of property that he walks daily and loves to go to the garden with his dad. He steals tomatoes when they are brought in, carries them down the aisle and tries to eat before his mom finds them. He also has 30 chicken friends and is very curious,” reported the association.

His immense love never diminished

This is just the beginning of Asher’s new life. Undoubtedly, thousands of happy moments await him that will erase the aftermath of his past and he will never stop thanking his human parents for having changed his destiny.
