The scene of two pitbulls from a shelter clinging to each other, waiting for a forever home, cannot leave anyone indifferent.
It is well said that the love of your life can come at the least expected moment and many times in the least indicated place. It is enough to know the story of these beautiful dogs that despite the circumstances found in a shelter the greatest and purest feeling.
A love that was born behind the bars of a shelter.

Agatha and Kukebox are two pitbulls who met at Pima Animal Care Center in Tucson, Arizona, where they currently live. The two dogs arrived at the shelter at different times and moments, but when they saw each other there was a special connection between them that radiated the most beautiful feeling.
Pima Animal Care Center takes in 17,000 animals a year and more than 400 dogs.

Kristen Hassen-Auerbach, director of animal services, says that when a pair of dogs have such a strong bond when they arrive at a shelter, it’s usually because they have spent most of their lives together. But that wasn’t the case with Agatha and Kukebox.
“These two didn’t know each other. They met at a playgroup one day and, from the moment they looked at each other, they became inseparable.”
Something very strong happened between the two of them that led them to understand that they were united by the same pain

When each puppy arrives at the shelter they go through a long process of adaptation, fortunately Agatha and Kukebox found in friendship the best bridge to calm anxiety and depression.
For most dogs, being in a shelter means accepting a life of confinement, a very stressful process for a large number of furry dogs.
However, Agatha and Kukebox are very comfortable when they are near each other making their shelter stay more bearable.
This pair is always doing lots of cute things to charm potential adopters who come to the shelter.

The love of these two little dogs is so great that they now share the same square meter, which allows them to spend almost all their time together. For them personal space is not relevant, they prefer to cuddle in the same bed when it’s time to sleep. The photo of these puppies went viral after a shelter officer captured such a magical moment.
Nikki Reck is public information officer at Pima Animal Care Centery, who shared the photo.

The shelter staff is hopeful that with the help of social media both puppies can find homes. Usually the shelter doesn’t put two puppies up for adoption for the same home because it can be much more difficult or time-consuming. But this time they hope that both dogs can be placed in the same home and continue to transmit the same love.
Two big, energetic dogs who want unconditional love.

What the shelter staff wants most is to find them a home that loves them as much as they do. Agatha and Kukebox are destined to share the present and the very uncertain future that awaits them.
We are sure they will soon find a home that will give them all the attention and treat them as a member of the family.
It is truly unfortunate that these sweet and noble souls have to spend their days in the coldness and loneliness of their cell. It is comforting to know that they have each other, but truly their story deserves to have another ending.
We would all hope that this beautiful couple will soon find more than just a home, a home to spend their days in. May those little faces touch some hearts!
