Is there anything more beautiful than a perfect diamond? Is there anything more beautiful than a brilliantly colored gemstone? Since crystals were discovered, people have been fascinated by them throughout history.

It was so valuable that various civilizations gave it different titles depending on how revered they were and how obsessed they became with them. They’re even mentioned in the Bible when it comes to the rebuilding of Jerusalem after the Apocalypse.

An excavation in Spain suggests that jewels were popular in the 3rd millennium BC. A group of archaeologists unearthed three shrouds with amber beads and an “amazing collection” of crystal weaponry at the Valenciana de la Concepcion site.

The Monterilio trolos was dug between 2007 – 2010 and used for burial. It was constructed from huge slate slabs. This site dates back to a time when metal extraction was very important.

The location where the weapons were found is not related to rock crystal formations. Therefore, we conclude that the crystals were brought from another place.
